I just read that again and realized it sounded like Squeaky died at one year. This was in 1984 according to the picture. She passed in 1985.

Gorgeous Palomino!!I finally found a couple of old, old pics. This is my teenage dream horse Lucky! We didn't compete but had a lot of fun exploring the back blocks. No safety gear!I was about 18 - 19 I think and thought I was invincible, as you do at that age. View attachment 130621View attachment 130622
I still don't.I never wore a helmet or safety gear riding and never got hurt and I was a gamer running barrels and all of the other fast sports.

I can't imagine the rush!!! WOW!!!1980's, someone took a nice photo of me galloping on the track. Many years later my sister was doing photoshop art and made this for me after I told her that my happiest years were with the racehorses, despite the many wrecks and barely making ends meet.

It was the kind that I'd wake up at 4 a.m. for and be bouncing to get out the door to go to "work". Worked for a couple of farms then for myself, the horses were my lifeblood. You can't be in it part time. I miss it, some of my very best memories in my life, but don't need it back.I can't imagine the rush!!! WOW!!!
And these words just made my eyes leak so bad!!!This picture was taken 2 days after Rubie was born. Little did I know that I would loose my Tobes two weeks later and then stumble across a fiery red-head to fill the hole in my heart
It was totally foreign to them - I have zero family or extended family that was ever remotely interested in horses.
