An update to this thread: October 2024 we welcomed 3 more Ripley babies into the world. This time she was bred to the infamous "Rock" Multi Group Winning BISS CH Foxfire's Rock My World. I carefully chose him myself for Ripley because of the incredible longevity throughout his pedigree, for his conformation, and for his temperament. He is an older male so I had the privilege to see how his kids were doing and he has many kids out there with performance titles, CH titles, and even doing well in IGP. I personally am striving for not only a doberman that looks pretty in the ring but one that can do well in bitesport while being capable to chill beside you on the couch. Cause what good is a personal protector that can't live in the home and be near you.
One went to Ripley's breeder, Effen/Effie, the red one. While I had planned on keeping the best one of the three, which was the boy, sometimes life doesn't work out how you have planned and then it turns into something wonderful in the end and you're glad that's the way it went! I had a great home lined up for the black girl but that fell through due to no fault of her. My husband and I weren't sad...truth be told she had her little paws wrapped around us! She was the best/pick girl of the two girls and she was super biddable. She just oozed wanting to please you! We thought well, we will hold onto her until we find the right home but it didn't take many days later that we cancelled that thought and decided to keep her for ourself! I'll make a thread for those two later but for now, here's puppy spam

They were exposed to as much as possible. They are always raised on early Scent Introduction and early Neurological stimulation. Played lot of novel sounds from a playlist shortly after their ears open like fireworks, babies crying, sirens, people laughing, dogs barking...but also real life experiences including our chickens on a "warm" winter day.

Crate training started around 5 weeks old. This is them at 12 weeks old at a dog show in Chicago. Not a care in the world.
