She's here!

Sure! If you were to go by yourself, how would you be able to hold your baby girl? Hmmm? lol

One of the reasons I agreed to take hubby. It's such a PITA for both of to gone that I thought it would easier for just me to go. Cramming 5 days into 3 just sucks!

Will she have water and food on her flight?

Nope. She can't have anything for safety reasons, not even a collar or her ears taped. Another reason hubby is going and we are spending the night along the way.

True. I thought I did read somewhere that they could have one of those travel dishes on the crate with water in it as long as it was frozen, but they probably changed that since I got Della.

Mine came with the water bowl attached to the crate door.

So yeterday I got an email saying I would not get my collar until Dec. 27th because of the influx of orders. I was disappointed because I really wanted Rumor to wear it Christmas day.
I get home today to packages everywhere, I'm sure the UPS guys hate everyone this time of year. I start opening and organizing and what's there in the biggest box? Rumor's collar!

She is going to be the sweetest Christmas present ever!!

Precious!! That's awesome that it got there! What a nice surprise!!
OMG, I just canNOT take the waiting we are having to endure!!

SOOOOO incredibly excited!

@GennyB are you picking up Rumor tomorrow?

I wish! Tomorrow couldn't be worked out so it will most likely be next Friday. :fingersx:
I have bags packed ready to go. One for hubby and I and one for Rumor.
I have a leash collar,a slip lead in case the collar doesn't fit, bowls, food and a couple of toys. I also have paper towels, Nature's Miracle in a spray bottle and so wipes and shampoo. Have I forgotten anything?

Maybe a spritz bottle with lavender essential oil and purified water. Spray on their collar, it helps ease them. :-)
A small finger nail brush to help clean any accident. Puppy pads when you stay in hotel and a crate which I assume she will arrive in. Lol

Me either! I just keep thinking it won't be long now.
I know it's going to seem like a long time but a part of me thinks it's a good thing for both of you.
Simply stated, the longer she's with the litter and mama I personally believe it helps them build better social skills in doggy. If that makes any sense to anyone but me?
I sure wish Rocky had been given more time with his, his social skills suck with other dogs.

I'd use the puppy pee pads in the car too.

It's hard to wait but I'm okay with it. She has been away from Mom but not her siblings just yet. She started the process of crate training so she is somewhat separated from them when sleeping. She has been busy learning sit, down and potty training. Vera tells me she is very smart and knows no fear. She is the first to try anything. Sounds like like got myself a fiesty one! Let the good times begin! This is going to be fun!

Um, your camera?!? how has no one else brought up that you forgot that on your list? Haha! no really, I think you're good to go! (But seriously, don't forget the camera!)

The camera is in the other bag for hubby and I. Rumor's bag is bigger and fuller than ours. Hubby was saying it's only one night, why 2 bags? One for us and one for Rumor, of course. He just shook his head.

When Drake was a pup and going through collars like the growing pup he was, I bought him one that was blue. I loved that bright blue with his black coat. So it be came his color.
People tend to go with pink for girls, not me. Because we do so much work veterans, I'm going with red. I think the red and blue will look great and work for us. I guess I'll have to wear the white because no way will I put white on dogs that live on the river or spend time romping at the farm.

Drogon was pretty much potty trained when I got him. Only had a couple accidents in his new home the first couple of days. We was fully trained within a week of arriving. Very nice

It is nice, same with having them on the way to being crate trained.
I don't remember what age the breeder started with Drake but it sure made things easy around here. I'm hoping it is the same with Rumor.
