Oh wow lipar land ! Lol and I thought you weren't a fan of euros![]()
I love euro heads and their rich rust markings. I don't like that they don't have much tuck up and they can look a little over done. I don't like to use hate, so dislike intensely that they can have that short back, little butt look...not a fan. As far as American bred, I love their sleek elegant look, nice tuck up and balanced look. I don't like the tan markings (standard says rust) or the light bone. Their necks are moving to almost a swan look and those pointy heads just make them look umm, breakable? IDK, just to delicate. So whose the sore and dam ? Are they drogons parents ? I need pics !![]()

I'm very surprised that you went Euro! You said everyone would be surprised. Can't wait to see the little girl!
That male really is a big boy isn't he? I really like the dam. She doesn't have as refined head as the NA females do but I just like her overall body. When I think of a doberman, that's exactly what I think of!
Oh this is so exciting for you! I guess the hardest part will be the anticipation until you finally get to meet your new little girl.
Nice girl!
Pics will be coming soon. Vera is in Italy at the IDC Championship. She left hubby in charge and apparently technology is not his specialty. But thankfully dobermans are.
BTW, one of Valdo's pups went to finals today and Valdo is showing tomorrow. Lots going on over there so I promised to be patient on pics.
You mentioned this so I looked at both their pedigrees. They're at least siblings if not litter mates. Same sire and dam.Welcome to the family. I've seen Valencia a few times but haven't seen her pedigree. I thought for a while she was Valdo's litter mate but haven't found anything or asked and base that just off looks and the "V" name.

Vera sent me some stuff on Valencia and honestly I can"t remember. I'm just too excited. Nice girl though, don't you think?
When we were talking, I did most of my research on the sire because I was not as familiar with him. I think I got myself a nice girl with a great pedigree and I think nothing but the best of Vera. She has been wonderful and oh so patient with me as I went through this process.

I can see her happily chasing a ball, and taking a chunk out of some guy's leg. Yup that's a Doberman!
Since there are 3 girls, how will you go about picking one out?
OMG, just catching up with the news this morning and I have to say, I am tingling with joy for you @GennyB !!!!!!!! How exciting and what a gorgeous mom and dad!!! Can't wait to see her and live vicariously through you!!! I still have the chills!!! lol I know how much time, effort and emotion you put into this search! I'm so glad to see a happy ending! Well.......it's really just the beginning, isn't it?![]()

The breeder and I have talked extensively. She understands what I am looking for in a pup. So she will be making the choice.
)Its everything I would ask for too!! Good for you!Hell yeah to all of that! I wanted so badly the perfect pup for me. I'm convinced this is it! I knew people would be surprised this is the route I went, but everything about it is perfect for me. I have a great supportive breeder that won't be up my butt to perform. She sincerely wants a good home for her baby. That's all I can promise at this point. She WILL have a good home, be well trained and happy at the very least. What dog could ask for more?

That's wonderful. It's great you can trust her so much to do so. I know you'll end up with a awesome little girl that will make you tear your hair out while loving her to death. (Isn't that how it's supposed to be?)
Yes. I feel that way too about the sometimes tiny-appearing butts. The other thing that bothers me in some IMO "overdone" Euros is too much forechest. That said, I'll take a nice Euro over an overly "refined" N/A. I like your term "breakable."Honestly, it's not that I'm not a fan per say, it's just I much prefer a combo like Drake. You get the best of both worlds.I love euro heads and their rich rust markings. I don't like that they don't have much tuck up and they can look a little over done. Give me a combination and I think you you the perfect dobie.
Let's try this again, don't know why it didn't show up the first time.

I was actually hubby that approached me with the idea. After talking with Vera several times I decided to go with her. Was it a tough decision, yep! But I think the right one. She puts no pressure on you to do anything with your pup and certainly understands if you can't make that commitment. That was the biggest problem I was having with breeders in the states. They want this contract with promises of finishing the pup when they can't promise that you will be able to. Not to mention the remarks, sometimes caddy, if you could only commit to a "pet". I'm not knocking the process, I do understand to an extent the process, It's just not for me.
I want to discover together what we want and can do, make sense? The experiment of discovery is part of the journey for me.

Well, wow! Thank you for the picture! Nice! Hoo boy, the dam looks about 25% more manly than Oji!That's a compliment.
