I had to hand him in to our local animal control.
At least the rangers really liked him and he climbed up and snuggled into necks and purred, so putting his best foot forward for a loving home.

You did the best you could but I was SO hoping you'd keep him and make him a camping cat to go on your trips with you & Jazz!

I very much notice this too! And I enjoy seeing it also!

I get a smile too when I see them doing stuff like that.

This particular pair bonded a lot tighter than the pair before them. Still have distinct personalities and different strengths / weaknesses just like the last pair but they are definitely more clingy towards each other.

I am ok with that.

It wasn't even a consideration with tent camping. I have been in a tent with prowling Dingoes, wild pigs and possibly crocs, just Jazz and I inside, and I wouldn't like to involve a tasty morsel like a kitty to the mix! Dingoes especially have been guilty of dashing through a camp and snatching up some ones small dog, never to be seen again!

Yeah, sometimes I forget you're in the wilds of Australia!!! When I took my cat camping I had a horse trailer and he stayed in that while we rode, then would be on a harness when we sat outside. Tent would definitely be challenging, or like you say, just the wrong thing to even try to do.

Haha, me too! I thought he was young enough to adapt to Jazz and he could become an adventure cat! Plus those eyes! I guess they were still blue due to him being so young, but it was a great color against the black fur.

There would have been no trouble with Jazz and the kitten, once he settled down to not react. She got to come up and give him a really good snuffle when he was in my lap and he tolerated that well. Jazz learned that cats aren't prey with my friends chilled out kitty. Don't worry, I was really tempted to keep him but it wouldn't have been fair to the wildlife or the kitten when I am off travelling so much.

Corbin looking out the door of the trailer (two horse trailer with LQ in the front). He's wearing a red spike collar. The screen door was custom made with steel bars and pushes in instead of out because J use to camp with her Rottweilers.

Achilles spends a lot of time staring out the window waiting for the rain to ease up enough so we can go for a walk, getting wet doesn't bother him but has learnt that I don't enjoy getting soaking wet .

Normally I take Katyusha out Saturdays for social practice or training, whatnot. My Bernese is at the point where I can't tell if we have days, weeks, or months left. But yesterday I took him along, and man this smile. I helped him walk on slippery floors with a sling under his belly once we got to the stores. It worked quite well.

A couple more from the bucket list outing. Thor was getting rubs from the Petco store manager. Later we were at the outfitters store and my blind dog, Toby was just following his own direction. I love him for his independence even though he can't see a thing.
