Puking

Love that you are 'pinching' pieces between your fingers  I am so dilegent with puke and poop....always poking around in it when something foriegn is in there ;). Something many of us do, and it's completely normal to us. That and smelling things. Some of you may remember when Falcon did eat his ear roll as a pup, and my husband didn't know where it came from when he found it....I took one wiff and knew he had thrown it up!
My husband would/could NOT do this....🤣
Yes, I have become a poop-ologist too.
I even take pictures sometimes to see a trend and what works.
BW is horrified, but it helps me sleep at night...
"Is Bonnie obstructed? Oh noes..."

Watching carefully and a strong trained "leave it" is slowly getting us past the dober-goat phase now at 2.5 years...

That is very true and why I don't jump on the bandwagon if someone posts something about a certain food or product and everyone else thinks it must be true.

I go by the commercials. Figure they must be true because of false advertising laws and such.

As soon as I find my credit card I am buying this new portable AC (designed by a NASA engineer!) that will lower the temp in any room to 62deg in less than 5 minutes AND cut my electric costs by 125%

:)

I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a piece of a bully stick. Are they a different brand than you normally buy? Technically they should all be the same (especially because it’s just one ingredient) but maybe something is irritating his stomach. Remy gets them pretty often and only one time he threw up a small piece of it. He really likes beef tracheas but I don’t tend to give them to him anymore. It seems like it’s hit or miss now if he’s going to vomit up pieces of it in the middle of the night… It scared me a little the first time because I had no clue what it was.

That's true but I read somewhere that the way they are processed can make a huge difference. I think it came from one of the places that sells higher quality bully sticks, so take it with a grain of salt.

Sounds totes legit.
It was on late nite tv so it must be true...

I buy from bully bunches and also make due with Red Barn on occasion. Both have caused him to gulp water then puke.

The water gulping alone could make it dangerous and potentially cause bloat. Maybe cheek rolls would be better for him?
Yeah I've tried those too. He seemed to like them at first but as time went on he lost interest. It doesn't matter if they're flavored or not. He's lazy and doesn't want to take the time to chew them up. Little pig wants to eat everything as fast as possible.

He does seem to love Icelandic Cod Skins but they last maybe 20 minutes and stink to high heaven.

Can you exolain exactly how the hydrogen peroxide/water mis is ratiod? Applyed?

No need to add any water. That would lessen its effectiveness. You also don't want old / stale peroxide if you can help it. That stuff can and does go stale over time and becomes less effective (you will need more to get the same result)...
With Annie's recent episode of eating corn cobs I was told by my vet to do equal parts water and peroxide. We started with 2 oz of of each. I've never used the peroxide treatment before so I was totally expecting instant puke LOL when it didn't happen my granddaughter who was Googling everything while we acted, said that expired peroxide might not work as well. Never thought that peroxide went out of date. But I was using something that was over a year old. Waiting the appropriate time she ended up finally puking. But now I know to update my peroxide.

Also her Googling was saying that peroxide can be irritating on the stomach and that using something like this for a day or two afterwards, helps.

It eventually breaks down into just water and oxygen; accelerated if you've opened the bottle. Wouldn't be a bad idea to keep one, dog specific, unopened bottle on hand if you do use peroxide regularly (for like cleaning and stuff)!
Good plan. I'm going to CVS and will pick some omazeprole and dedicated peroxide up plus the baby nose gooser, for the home first aid kit.

Gotta admit I was skeptical on @Aaron56
Reference but coincidentally found old vet advice online same, later.
