I was actually thinking of a rescue too, I did not have a good experience with a Doberpuppy I still have about a year left of thinking... but I'm very impulsive soooo..

Good luck with whatever you decide! We’ve always been a multi-dog family and while it is more work/expense/headaches, the reward of a happy pack is pretty special.

I think you idea to get an older dog is a great one - puppies are generally pretty annoying to other dogs!!
