Posting Support - Austin

My dobe is planning to arrive with his ears cropped from the breeder. The breeder isn't local so I am wondering if there are any vets / breeders in the Austin area willing to help with the first couple initial postings until I get the skill down.

Do vets do postings if the ears weren't cropped by them? Can anyone provide any pointers to any Austin, TX locals that can help?

I honestly don't recommend a having a vet do the posting since they're methods are outdated and you don't get the best results from them.

We have a couple of good tutorials here and of course we're happy to answer any questions as they arise.

Austin has a pretty decent Doberman club.

Tbh, I would trust a Doberman local before a vet. Vets have a tendency of doing things their way that is actually the wrong way when it comes to posting ears.

I live around Baton Rouge and will be headed that way Mar 7/8 with my middle daughter for the Dallas soccer showcase. Would be happy to meet up and help out if needed.

Don’t bother with a vet. We did that the first time and it was awful. I think it lasted about a day total waste of money.

Is the breeder offering any support paper instructions/Skype/FaceTime ?

Lots of videos on here and YouTube. Do you have all your supplies?
