Hi MC, its getting back and for, sometimes his poop is really good, then there are days were he has the runny one. gezzzzzzzzzzz, i'm telling you LMAO, but beside that he is a happy camper more or less, since he has to wear the cone of shame and isn't happy about it 
after he got neuter, his wound open up a bit,s o i took him just now back to the vet, he got some stables and some antibotics and we went back home, in 10 we have to go back, to get the stables out and he weight 85lbs now.

You know, Shanoa still has off and on loose stools, too. I'm hopeful that as she gets older it'll get better. It does seem to be getting a little more consistent now that she's on the adult food. I've pretty much just accepted the fact that she has a very sensitive stomach. She'll go from a perfect, solid stool in the morning to almost liquid if she gets too worked up (for example, if the dog park is a little too exciting), or if she eats something that's not in her normal diet (which pretty much means anything except her dog food). I think it's just going to be a fact of life with her. She's very healthy, never seems to be troubled or feel bad when she has those issues. So I think it's just normal for her. It's too bad, but I'm not sure anything can be done about it. As long as she's mostly having normal solid stools I just don't worry. I do find that fasting her once a week or so seems to help, too. I just skip a meal randomly once a week, and that seems to help keep things firmed up. Her weight is pretty perfect, so she doesn't seem to have any ill effects from that.
i almost think, thats the same with Apollo, he just has a sensitive stomache and if he eats something what he shouldn't, there comes the run or like Shanoa, to much excitment, there its the runny poop again LMAO
the interessting thing is, when Logan my GSD eats to much bones, his poop will get very hard and the poor boy, has a hard time, but Apollo, it don't bother him at all.he still will have the runny ones.oh well, just can live with it
and i think his weight its fine too today 85 lbs with 11 month, ok he'll be 11 month on the 17th i'm telling you, Apollo is driving me crazy, but the swelling got down already, its almost so empty and thin like we brought him home, now he has his stables in there and wear his Collar and he isn't happy about it, but i can't help it, don't wanna take him again and might have surgery again, its better for him, if he likes it or not. i just had to pay for his antibotics, thanks goodness. now he lays there and looks so misarable and sad, LOL. i just wonder how he wanna come to bed tonight with this thing around his head

i think he has to wear it for 7 days for sure, til its healed, he get the stables out in 10, but i'm sure,if it closed up and healed i can take it off.
i do nyway when i take him outside so he can poop and pee or when he gets his food, just need to have it on when i can't really waych him or soon he lays down, he wanna lick it. but hopefully he gets to used to it, somehow.

Poor Apollo... what a sad face... i am sorry he kept bothering his wound.. thats hard to go through.. i cannot believe he is such a big boy for 11 months.. he is doing great with weight etc even with soft poop here and there.. be strong Tina.. i know it is tough..
gezzzzzz i'm sorry for him too, but he wont listen to mommy, so now he has to wear his cone, so long he is staying and running around, he is safe, but soon he lays done, he goes to the spot. right now i took it off, so he can play a bit and he went outside too. but in a bit i have to put it back on.
i think he doing very well with weight right now, hope he fills out a bit more

Tina, they have a better collar at Care A Lot Pet Supplies. I ordered one for Herc. It's like a people neck brace and has a strap that goes around their middle to help keep it on. It was like $27.00 but worth it. It doesn't stick out like the e-collar does so they can lay down in comfort.

Maybe you could get this for Apollo. Good luck keeping him calm for the next ten days. Poor baby; he looks just like Herc did with that e-collar on. Don't buy into that look. I've seen it before. He's playing on mommy's sympathy on purpose.

Hello Apollo, this has worked for me for many years. Eliminate the dry kibble and boil white rice and cook up chicken or hamburger (drain hamburger well) use half the amount (weight) that you would normally feed. Try it for 3 to 5 meals increasing the amount slightly each meal. When you see improvement slowly add your kibble and slowly back off the rice and meat. Pumpkin works well but it also works for constipation so it might have been adding to your pups problem. When stools are better if the problem returns chances are that the kibble isn't agreeing with your pup. Always give small amounts when adding ingrediants. best to you & the pup. von Cosack.

Hey Tina, I don't know if you're still having issues with stools, but if you are I have another idea for you. It could be total coincidence, but I bought some of the "Sam's Yams" chews from the Nutra 9 website, and Shanoa's had one a day for the last few days. They don't last long, but she really likes them. Anyway, I've noticed an improvement in her stool the last few days, too. Like I said, could be a coincidence, but it might be that the yams are giving her a little firmer stool. Just something to try, if you want. (Oh, and you might see some bright orange in the stool from the sweet potato!)
