ooooooh friends... remember the Tyvek house lady?
This year, she is losing her mind over the fact that we have weeds in the front yard. I'm not particular about that because it's 1. green 2. native 3. drought tolerant 4. kept short and tidy. She can't EVEN. And she pointed to several other neighbors around us that ALSO have weeds and it's just ridiculous.
She cornered dog dad a few weeks ago and told him her guy is the best and anytime she see's a SINLGE weed she texts him and he comes right out and he's better than all these other services out there, etc. He goes, yeah we got some weird clever marketing something in the mail from that company a couple of days ago. She got real exited, I TOLD him to send you a quote! Did you review it! Wasn't it great!?
I'm not interested in paying someone $800 to spray chemicals in my yard, no.
We were on a stroll with the dogs yesterday and she called. We ignored it. She left a multiple minute voicemail about how her weed guy is going to be here Wednesday and he OFFERED to spray out front yard for FREE and isn't that just WONDERFUL. We laughed it off and kept walking. I swear to dog she was waiting for us to walk by. THERE YOU GUYS ARE DID YOU GET MY MESSAGE ISN'T THAT FANTASTIC!?!?
I'm like... so great, he may kill the weed for free and then what? Is he also going aerate, level, over seed, and keep it watered? Like?
I have annoyed written all over my face. She just keeps going: well I can understand if you don't want chemicals (we don't) but I saw you out here pulling weeds (my choice) and he offered for free and he guarantee's his work and I really hope you don't think I'm pushing this on you (you are) because I understand the dogs (see point 1).
So guess we're getting our front yard sprayed tomorrow.

to mind her own 
but "deeply discounted" for only $80 per service (multiple visits required). I'm really not into it. We might do it for this summer to appease her. I will be sure to f*cking tell her it's definitely not free and if she's got the balls to say "it's only $80" then I'll ask her if we should have them bill her for our lawn, then. We would treat only the front, not the back in a million years. Still not great.
