My girl is sick... again.

Wow.. last night was a trip! I knocked out around 9:30 - i have to hit the hay early because the 2-5 times a night i have to get up to deal with dog and/or kid, Hubs is a late bird because of his rotation schedule so he usually does the dogs last potty break before bed. I usually expect to wake between 1:30-3am for Miesha and again usually anywhere between 4:30-6:45. As you can imagine, with two dogs on 'roids there is a whole lot of pee in my life! :banghead: With Miesha, she had been having accidents in the house with all her GI issues and occasionally reverts and has pee accidents. So since she has been sick she has held pee like a camel holds water - but now that she can get off the couch and remembered how to bark, she has been letting us know.. [so far just 1 pee accident which was followed up with 3 more pees outside, so at least she held some of it in till i got downstairs!!!] To reinforce the "emptying outside" we've been giving her a handful of her ground turkey or meatball of canned i/d to reward but also help with the steroid hungers... i'm sure you can guess now... Brat wants to go out even more often..... in the middle of the night. :banghead:

So on cue, Miesha and Tank were up around 1:30 just as hubs was falling asleep and so out they went. Well... Little Miss Bratty-Pants decided that the downstairs couch isn't good enough and CLIMBS THE STAIRS to the bedroom floor [we live in a uber small cape]! We were so taken with that that we let her up on the bed and she slept with us [in our queen sized bed :banghead:] till 3:45 when my younger son came into our room just so i could tuck him back in :banghead:.. in a matter of 15 minutes the third time i "retucked him in" i just laid down next to him listening to his post nasal drip sniffles. I start to drift off and BAM! Miesha wakes up Tank who wakes up Hubs with his big ol' Bear paws and cold, wet Bear snout. He gets up, comes into the boys room to "let me know" [because, you know... if he has to be awake and suffer.. so apparently must his Wife] and carry her out to go potty. RINSE and REPEAT. Except at 4:30am.. Miesha wanted up to our room again, but changed her mind.. and it was WAY too early to eat.. which was her intention. Hubs shuts the bedroom door, turns on the white noise maker, and conks out leaving the boys and i listening to whining. :machinegun:
At that point i climbed out of my Little's twin-sized bed and go downstairs and curl up [literally... i was SO uncomfortable]with Miesha, my Little then got out of his bed and climbed in my bed with Hubs, and try to snooze til 6:30/45 when the morning routine starts. I told myself... i'll just climb back in bed after the school bus picks up... but realistically, my ass is awake and craving coffee.. so here i am bitching to you all.

On a sweet note - my older son aka the Big [8.5yr old] said in the morning, "Oh Mom.. now I know how you feel, Dad and Jace kept me up all night!" Oh the validation from an 8 year old... perfect Christmas present!

I'm sorry I had to laugh a little at that wendy! I wanted to "agree" that it's the perfect christmas gift, "like" that she's doing so much better, but I laughed most of the way reading it so "funny" won! So glad to hear she's getting back to herself!

And @bomary today is a half day for my kids too, they're only off until Jan 3 also. They get screwed when christmas is over a weekend, if the timing is right, sometimes they get close to 2 full weeks off.

That's interesting....I guess I "knew" we were all on our own kind of schedule that "makes sense" to the higher-ups, but our schools have been out this whole week and will go back on the 3rd. "We" (majority, now, of TX public schools) get the whole week of Thanksgiving too, now, but I'm sure the start/end dates are a lot different everywhere as well.

End of hijack!!...sorry!

I'm behind but it's so great to see the sweet girl making so much progress.
