My girl is sick... again.

I'm glad you guys have an answer now. Heres to recovery! Are you guys thinking it is Type 3? I've never heard of this before but it is interesting to read about it. There is a vetmed paper about the disease here... Recognizing and treating immune-mediated polyarthritis in dogs

Of course, I'm sure you've scoured the net researching but just in case, I included it.

Poor girl. Get better soon Miesha girl. Many hugs to you and your Momma!

Yep thats a good one! I also like this one:
Type I idiopathic non-erosive immune-mediated polyarthritis in a mixed-breed dog

Doc has it as idiopathic but my gut says type 3. Its just too much of a coincidence with her history of GI. But we'll probably will never know.
Steroids must be starting to work... she pathetically tried (and epically failed) to climb into my lap. She actually wants to cuddle with me. My heart is swelling.

Aww, don't worry. Our dogs truly do love us even when we do something that may hurt them in order to try to help. They easily forgive and know just how to thank us for caring so much!

Took some video.. this is so far as good as she gets. It then she knocks out for a couple hours, has to go out and screams bloody murder getting off the couch [with help or without :(]. The movement in the video is after around 5 minutes of her getting balance and blood flowing.. it takes her a bit to get her stems moving but here we are.

It's still heartbreaking, but relieving that she getting there ! We all love you pretty girl !! Keep getting better !!!

She is improving, albeit in baby steps and that is what you want. The video is hard to watch, but to see her a little better warms my heart. At least she is progressing. That's promising! As someone who battles autoimmune, I know first hand that steriods can take a while to take the inflammatory response down and keep it down.

Has your vet discussed food for her GI issues yet? I have been through this with Archer on a different level (IBS secondary to Addison's. Had muscle wasting and major weight loss) so if you need some help, or just want to vent I am here :)

Again, so happy you received answers Wendy and can get this sweet girl back to her normal self soon. Bless you both. You're in my continued prayers!

@Archer -Thank you Ainsley, i am sorry i'm so late in reply - it has just been crazy around this house with the holidays, kid school crap, being at Miesha's beck and call! If i get 3 consecutive hours of sleep at night - it's a good night!
It is a relief to hear that, really and truly... it's slower progressing than i thought and hoped which has me worried.. and she's so young to have such a disease and be on such harsh meds! Hubs and i have decided to make an appointment with a specialist as well to get a better idea of what is going on. We got the culture & MIC back and the Doc said there was some weak strain of salmonella- which he said was very likely contamination because the strain was "wimpy" and was very susceptible to every AB tested [she also had been on Doxy prior to joint tap]... so another $45 dollars down the drain on Cephalexin..."Just in case" :sour:. My husband has overall been very disenchanted with this Vet and has forbid me from bringing Miesha there any further. :confused-alt:

As far as food, no real discussion per say has happened. As you know, the subject of her GI has been my White Whale throughout her short life. She had explosive diarrhea last sunday and the Doc had me put her on metronidazole and she firmed up [though im sure that is also due to decreased motility as she was pooping every other day]. Yesterday when he gave the culture results he said to take her off the metronidazole because the steroids should be helping with the GI inflammation so no need to hit her twice. Prior to this whole illness, she had been having another bout of gastroenteritis and i couldn't get her transitioned back to her old food. I bought a small bag of Natural Balance LID Potato & Duck to try her on. Neither of which she has had before and the ingredients are super LID. I haven't yet started her because of this whole debacle. He said i could go ahead and put her back on regular kibble.. but he really only knows [self- admittedly] what he was force-fed by Hill's. Loooooong story short.. i would abso-freakin-lutely LOVE:love: any wisdom you could impart!!!

Below is a video i took the day before last. She is pretty much the same now, with little improvements at different times. Last two mornings she seemed to have slightly less trouble.. i think? Will try to get some more video.
Again, thank you all for your continued support and love!!!!!
