Little dude won’t gain weight.

The amount of pooping seems more than expected BUT it might be the result of the raw/kibble diet. The consistency of the poop is more a tell tale sign of what’s going on inside. A good consistency, of ‘normal’ colour and doesn’t smell too offensive. :poop: Poop watch is so so important. You’ll learn a lot from the output Lol

What a load of :poop: haha.
As my husband says; “honey, there is a bumper crop of land mines on the porch.”

This is due to Maddie being blind and not wanting to go outside, so she has porch access for her business and ..... it’s a lot of business with her being on a high fiber food because of diabetes.

What a load of :poop: haha. I had to throw that in there :spit:

Ok, so you mentioned him only being allowed on the balcony. Where does he go?

He goes on the balcony, I covered the balcony with Rossin paper and a pad to eliminate on. He walks to either the front or rear door and I let him out. If the door is open, he’ll push the screen open. Go then let himself back in.

We currently live in a condo right now, we’re moving into a single family home with a large backyard in a few weeks once it’s finished being remodeled.

Not to mix topics here, but you should also read up on vaccinations. You noticed diarrhea after his last shots, that's a common side effect (plus many more that are worse) so it's important not to let your vet give so many at the same time again. As well, some vax are not even necessary. Totally worth reading up!

I’m going to read up on that, he has his last series of boosters tomorrow.

Ask your vet to give single vaccines spaced over a couple weeks. That’s what I did with my two and we have avoided any visible issues from vaccinations.
Also have them put that on your chart...no vaccines without discussing with owner!

I feed mine an all raw diet and Ares gets 2.5-3 pounds a day
Athena gets 2-3 pounds a day both my Dobermans are highly active and burn it up like crazy
Ok, I have been giving mine 4lbs a day each and they are maintaining their weight. If I feed less I will see the weight drop pretty quick.
I would love to be able to feed less but they are at perfect weights now with the exercise they get. I wish they would learn doggie meditation and chill out a bit more.:D

Kaiser gets 2 lbs and he's too thin so we upped him to 2.5. I consider him to be just fit enough without driving me crazy.

So I typically feed him at 5pm but on Monday’s and Wednesday’s I have class at 5. Is there any harm on feeding him at 4pm twice a week and 5pm the rest of the days?

Little dude looks good to me, no bones sticking out belly area seems in proportion just from the pics, heck he may just be small frame or between growth spurts. If he checks out healthy and looks good, I wouldnt worry bout him packing on pounds at this age. You'll look up in a few weeks and be wondering where your little dude who wouldn’t gain weight went when you have a small rain deer trying to fit under a end table .

My boy came home from the vet with the runs like never before and it took weeks to get back to normal so I’d ride it out a little and see what comes, I thought the crap would never end he’d be playing, squirt poop outta no where and scare hisself

Here’s his poop after dinner. Hardened up thankfully. I placed him in his crate after eating since he likes to spaz and run around after eating.
