Is your dog fat?

Wait you have 2 dobermans! Let's see them both together! Do they do any Dober dancing yet? Lol.

Kaiser is my 2 year old male at 78 lbs. He averaged 10 lbs a month till 7 months and then slowly added weight.

Your female does seem a bit underweight. What does she eat?

Newbie here.. the common sense is, when the dog is fat, we can buy the low fat dog food to feed the dog, but I saw a low protein dog food also at the pet store, so is it the same purposes?

I forgot about this thread.
Since my last posting we’v managed to get Rocky down into the 80s.
He was 86 on last vet visit in November I believe.
He was 104 at a visit in 2016.
Between a cut in diet and making sure he gets some action at least once a day real well or two short sessions spread out through the day. Which, he prefers :)
If I’m home during the day I toss the ball upstairs many times throughout the day too, and play catch it as well.
Make him go to the top of stairs, and sit. Then toss the ball so (if perfectly tossed) he won’t have to break the sit.
He’s gotten pretty good at it and rather prancy when he does:D :dobe:

Any before and after pictures?

Any before and after pictures?
Pics above would be before and I can’t really see a noticeable difference besides a top view where he’s a bit more slender through the waist to show more hip.

Thanks for the info no wonder I can’t find it..My lad is either going to drive me insane or suicidal can’t decide which at the moment..he’s 11 months old today and already 97lbs so only a couple of years to go for the elusive off button to appear..

I frequently get "Your dogs are too thin" from people with fat dogs....I just say I like them lean. My thought is, Dobermans have so much against them with health issues, why add ONE more that you can control? I too adjust food weekly...when Glory is in heat, she puts weight on, so I have to cut her back. I can not get my Clarke over 77 pounds ever. High energy I guess.
Anyone else's window this dirty with nose prints? ;-)IMG_0978.jpeg
