I like the first one of Moo, he’s focused and his whole body is in view. For Rubie, the second last one, looks like she’s flying! The focused eyes are there in every shot, but the straight up ears make that one perfect!

After looking at them over & over, if I could just pick one of each dog, those would be my picks too.

Id love to find something like that around here.
Do you know how to find the events schedule on AKC website? That's where they're listed. If you like to do a road trip, there's one at Show Low AZ that I'll be going to July 30.

Great photos and congrats on doing so well!

I agree that the 4th on of Rubie is great and the 1st or 3rd one of Moo would be a choice I'd make.

We went to another Fast Cat yesterday!!! Asha was much better than last March - her times were 9.362 seconds and next run was 8.455 seconds. That translates (if my math is right) to 21.84 mph and 24.19 mph, so I was pleased. Unfortunately the photographer tested positive for Covid and could not come. No photos. They are having 2 more other CAT & Lure trials today & Sunday, so I don't know when the times will get posted to AKC, but @LifeofRubie - tell me if I'm right: I got 2 times in March and 2 yesterday, so AKC will take the 3 fastest times average and post them on the Fast Cat Times board? LOL, our name will be in lights! Oh, and of course Reckless was a speedball - 25.99 mph & 26.08 mph on her two runs.

Bonus, it was a stunningly beautiful drive - AZ has some amazing high country - went through mountains over 8,000 feet - and with all the monsoon rains that AZ has been getting it was so green it made my eyes hurt.

The Grand Valley kennel club is having a dog show here at the beginning of Oct
I read they're doing a FAST CAT event. Id like to enter Rose if it works with my schedule. I think I read it's 50 yard's is that unusual? I thought it was a 100 yard dash?

I don't think there's a 50 yard Fast Cat with AKC. Maybe it's an intro to try for fun, not for AKC qualifying run. Or if the dog show is UKC or something else that has nothing to do with AKC, they may have different rules for Fast Cats.

I learned through @Rits how different the UKC conformation classes are from the AKC classes, and I know the AKC Scent Work classes are similar but different from NACSW nose work sports.... But if they have a dash, take Rose and have fun!

That's my understanding of how it works! They say they want to have everything uploaded by the 15th of the following month but... I feel that's really ambitious of them. Moo has runs from May, June, and July but no average, yet. They also keep track of their lifetime average!

Sounds like everyone had fun! That really stinks about the photog not being able to come... hopefully the next one!

I would go to that event WITHOUT a dog! Fast Cat, Barn Hunt, Dock Diving!! Wonder if their health clinic does Echos.

Their description of FCAT took me the the AKC site so it appears to be a fully functioning run which would make me think the full 100 yards. Did they maybe say they have a 50 yard run out? That helps give space to slow down with your greyhounds, whippets, and the likes.

It's hard to get info. I've called and sent emails with no response. I was going to go to their monthly meeting which I was told was on Monday evening but was actually on Tuesday evening. Why would you go without a dog?
