DPCA, is it worth joining?

there was some gossip of denying new breeder applicants with un-cropped puppies sold, or due fear of allowing in someone "under suspicion of being PETA?"
Back when a bunch of new applicants were being turned down, they said it was from the fear of them being PETA or some of the other AR people and not the fact that they had natural Dobermans.

I found the fb thread on not using photos of natural Dobermans on DPCA's publishings, it was 2024, over 150 comments, probably about 50/50 in agreement/disagreement.

Thanks @Ravenbird from that perspective, I can understand the concern.
I may not agree, but respect the clubs evolution and decision making as represented via the chosen Board.

The nice thing about a free market system is consumers have choices. I've certainly learned a lot here and elsewhere about the fancy, and appreciate all the good done by AKC and breed clubs under them- there is more online on conformation in the US as thats the more developed interest and structure - an ecology of sorts.

And now looking forward to hanging out in person at some UKC/UDC/AWDF type events, where its a different culture, lots more to learn.

The bottomline for me is how dog world is much more complex than most pet owners can imagine, endlessly fascinating the more I learn. I'm late to this so appreciate how all of you here share your experiences, growth, wins etc, both sides with a deep bow of respect...🙏

And all thru exposure to Dobermans...
how about that?

I just got the year in review mag and while I didn't read all the way through it, every photo I saw was cropped and docked dogs, which I'm good with in this country.
