Cropped dog traveling

If I have a cropped and docked Doberman (from the USA) and I want to travel to Europe (Spain, Italy, and England mostly), am I allowed to legally bring him with me to travel to these places?

Welcome from Minnesota!

A cropped dog is allowed to travel the same as any other dog as long as the ears aren't posted if you're flying. The flight rules have changed for airline travel since Covid for traveling with them so I would check with your airline before you make arrangements.

It’s fine to bring a cropped & docked Dobe into England. You might not be able to bring him in on a plane though.
Out yes, but in, for all dogs, I believe there are restrictions.

Last Xmas my son wanted to bring his little dog with him from Argentina to England but he couldn’t come direct by plane. He ended up flying to Madrid (where he stayed with a friend for a few days) & then to flew to Paris.
From Paris he got someone (a specialist doggy service) to drive them both to England via road & the train shuttle.

Not sure how old your doberman is but new regulations don't allow puppies to leave or enter the US until 6 months old.
He would be like a year old by the time we travel, I just wanted to be sure it was even legal to take cropped dogs to Europe since I heard they have restrictions on cropping!

Absolutely, it’s a good thing to double-check! Some European countries do have strict rules on cropped dogs,. It really depends on the destination.
