There are a few stores that carry them! I went to Sportman’s Warehouse to buy mine. It was also cheaper there than anywhere else. I know Bass Pro also sells them, but the one near me doesn’t seem to carry the L or XL anymore.I am interested in one of those crates, but I am not on fb. It looks like when you order direct from Ruffland, that it is weeks before they ship. Wondering if there is a way to find one of these used, where I don't have to learn how to navigate fb? I have searched craiglist in my area, and the only dog crates are wire.
Not sure if anyone can direct me anywhere else; Just asking....![]()
Free shipping on an item that big & heavy would be a winner. I was going to say, even a good price used on eBay would be lost when the price of shipping came into play. Like you just stated on the chit-chat, shipping has become incredibly expensive. @Two Dobes November is just around the corner, so if you could get a 2 door one lined up you might jump on that. I would love to have one of these, but once again, just not in my budget at this time.Actually LL Bean has them for a decent price too and I'm pretty sure it's free shipping.
I just read a crazy story from a prominent poster on a shepherd forum. He owns three sport dogs, he was traveling somewhere two were crated in the bed of the truck. And the third was crated in the back seat. You won't regret buying one! Peace of mind and so many saved pups from accidents.
What was it crated in? How big was the crate compared to the dog? I am shocked to hear the dogs in the bed were fine after being ejected. Sounds like a freak stroke of luck (and unlucky)But the dog riding crated in the cab had to be put down from its injuries that day.
I went back and read the post it didn’t mention the brand of crate. But I have Ram 2500 and 3500 pickups and a ruffland large is the only kennel that will easily fit in the back of the cab. I think a dog being in a bigger crate is more dangerous than a tighter fitting crate. (More space to allow movement before an abrupt impact). What was it crated in?
