American Dobermans Breeders in Europe?

Hi there,

after thinking about what dog would suit me best, ive decided i'd rather have an american doberman than a european doberman, since the american doberman would fit my temperament better. I live in europe and now i've been looking for reputable breeders of the american doberman within europe, because I dont really want to import a puppy from the US for a few different reasons.
Unfortunatly, i can't find any european kennels that breed american dobermans - yet theres kennels in america who breed european dobermans.

Now, my question: does anybody know breeders of american dobermans in europe?
Preferably, breeders who also crop and dock.

I'd be very, very thankful for any suggestions!

Are you wanting an American showline? Not much difference than the European show lines as far as temperament. Working is working on either side of the pond. Or do you just like the American show look better.

Yes, i would have wanted an american showline, because overall they appear to be are calmer and less "intense". I didnt knew that the same thing goes for european showline dogs, I thought europeans are always more intense, especially the working lines (of course). I love the look of both european and american dobermans, so the looks arent really a factor for me, I just want to make sure i have more of a family pet than a very intense, high drive, working dog.

You should be able to find that from any reputable breeder. Tell them what you are looking for abs they should be able to pick the best puppy from the litter to meet your needs.

Not from the dogs i have seen and trained. You are probably less likely to get a nervy or scared Doberman in euro lines but there is never a guarantee. I just see it more in the American show lines.
