Fed up with my dog and his diarrhea(PICS)

Right?! I really can't understand the "they look malnouslrished" comment. It's not like they just wake up one day thin as a rail with EPI. It's a process. Perhaps most don't get diagnosed until they look malnourished, but that doesnt mean the issue wasn't present well before. As others have...

Fed up with my dog and his diarrhea(PICS)

Also - prescription food is garbage. Yes, dogs with EPI generally look malnourished. But there are always exceptions and it takes time for them to hit that point. I'd find a good, limited ingredient diet with an unusual protein source. Filtered/bottled water only. No treats. Zignature...

No shots! Not right now. Call back and request it not be done.

    Bloody diarrhea??

I think I'd double check, because that really does look like something purple in there.

I need to share something with you

Didn't know whether to hit funny or agree. Lol And yes, DCF is like it's own little magical spot in the Cyber world. My boy is a mutt and most definitely would not be a welcome addition to the typical doberman forums, but here? He's accepted as one of the pack :) there's actually several of us...

Not sure what to do next? I can't find a crate she can't destroy and get out of.

I agree that this sounds like a bored and understimulated pup. Crate - the idea here is to keep her safe. Her destructive tendencies are liable to get her injured. Or killed. 12-16 hours in a crate, even not every day, but on a regular basis is a LOT. Even out of a crate, that's a long time...

    Back to drawing board???

Definitely going to echo others here - I wouldn't trust my dogs out front, offleash without an ecollar. Just too many temptations. Short of a deserted tropical island, they'll never know that level of freedom. And they may never give me an actual reason - but I believe in erring on the side of...

Advice for 6 month puppy behaviour

Kaizer rarely whines. He usually does this weird growl/grumble/sigh thing. Cracks me up everytime. I swear if he could roll his eyes at me, he would! He's just a vocal twerp in general, though. Hubs is getting better. Consistency is the big thing. It will take time to see real changes. But...

Advice for 6 month puppy behaviour

This is sooooo Kaizer! He will jump on hubs, climb into his lap, lick his face, etc. Hubs then wonders why he only does it to him. Uhhhh. Cause I've never allowed that behaivor?! And they know when I give a command, I mean business and don't repeat it twenty times before a correction is...

Critters and wildlife in your area - post your pics

Yeah, definitely female. It's hard to see very well on my phone ... Gravid bulge is lower in the body than the just ate bulge. And usually more symmetrically rounded, where as food tends to have lumpyness to it. That said - while I'm sure you know this, babies come out with fully functioning...

Gravid or just ate. Not too sure what their breeding season is down there. Seems a little late in the year, but with how far south you are that may not be unusual. At that size it's almost definitely a female, though. That would be a rather good sized male.

    Male/female Doberman pup

Doubtful. Very doubtful. Uti would be first guess followed by kidney infection or kidney issue. Is he eating, drinking and pooping ok? Any diarrhea or vomiting? Any sign of pain (lethargic, mopy, whiney, restless)? When he does pee, is it regular colored, Dark or cloudy? These are questions...

    Male/female Doberman pup

And don't worry about seeing the vet he's been seen by before. It would help, as they'll have the records already, but absolutely not necessary. Pick the vet you like, you'll hopefully be dealing with them for the next decade or so. I would get him in tomorrow. UTIs can get serious, quickly...

    Male/female Doberman pup

If this continues for more than 24 hours, get him into the vet. Could be a urinary tract infection. Nothing too serious if caught in a timely fashion. Push extra fluids (give as much water as he will drink and add water to food). If he starts showing any signs of pain or fever, vet immediately.
