Welcome to the life of Riley

But how thankful are we for a year of training under the belt!
AMEN! I can not imagine what he would be like without all the hardwork we have put in together. The boy is a BEAST! He is incredibly strong so no doubt he would leave a path of destruction behind him.
I should add we are still training hard every single day. Riley can struggle with impulse control. If he sees what he wants he wants it now! He has come a long way and we are still battling it out. The boy is a whole new definition of stubborn!

Riley and I were out and about today so I made a quick stop at the Vet to check his weight. The beast has muscled up so much I wanted to see just how much he weighs.
I couldn't believe the scale when 112.6 lbs. popped up. I asked the tech when the last time they had the scale calibrated and that was last week. Think I'll start calling him Clifford. :spit:

Holy cow, I knew he was bulking up but not over 100# bulked up.
I'm so happy we worked on training as hard as we did. This dog is incredibly strong. His shoulder muscles are really developed and one swipe from him feels like a bear just took swing at you. I can't imagine him being out of control.
I talked to his breeder last night and she was surprised at his weight. She was saying I should probably feed him less and exercise him more. Then I sent her this pic.

She said she dropped her phone when she looked at it. She just couldn't believe what a beast he is. She says he is the most fit dog she has ever seen.
She hopes to hold back a male from her next litter and send him to me to get him in shape for the show ring. She was kidding......I hope.

He looks magnificent! Don't think he'd think much of the show ring though. He's used to wide open spaces!

Looks like fun!
It is fun. I took my Drake, ( the dog in my profile pic) up there one year. UKC is much more fun than most of the confirmation shows.
I much prefer them and IABCA to any AKC shows. AKC tends to be way more political than I EVER want to be.....just sayin'
