Random Pet Photo of the Day - 2023

I just about had to hit funny because of this but it is a shame when that happens.

Good luck!

Used to bother me a lot until one day (when I was complaining about it) my mom interrupted my complaining and asked me 'if she was a good dog or not'.

I tend to not cry about it as much since then and am instead very grateful to have her around. :)

One of the many socializing/obedience work outings the past week or two. This was last weekend. They went to Petco and the farm store. Had ear comments... BUT one lady said they look BETTER cropped! 🤯🤪

Haha. Yep, we walk all over! I always start right at the front door for 10 min and let them settle, rewarding for checking in with me. Then a person will come in with their dog, puppy looks then looks at me, mark and reward. Once the puppy turns around and is completely focused on me, we are ready to work.

50% of the time that girl on the left is my FAVORITE dog. :)
And the other 50%, the girl on the right? 😁

Last weekend at my parent's place. Yep, Revel just started wearing an ecollar already at a 10/100 to back up "that's enough" so he doesn't act like a donkey in someone else's house with expensive things to knock his 🐴 butt into. They both understand the command and stop but then go back at it 5-10 minutes later which means one gets separated or kenneled for a bit. I started implementing it last week to reprimand any posturing when momma says no more, I mean it. They can play when I say "play". It has made the message black and white and the house is peaceful. He didn't need it like a good boy so the training is coming along! 😊

Big boy assessing Abbey's barking (parent's dog).

They had tons of fun chasing one another with Abbey.

Curious about that heater. Natural gas with an insert that blows the hot air into the room or something else?

My girl Patience loves her some heaters. :)

Have 3 of these and love them. Downside is that they run on propane and unless you are willing to refill your own 1lb cylinders and / or run off a big bbq tank they are costly as heck to run. @ $7ish bucks for a 1lb cylinder (and they take 2) or you can refill one for about 60ish cents per cyl. With care during use and handling those little 1lb cylinders can be refilled a great many times (have some that have lasted for several years worth of use (hundreds of refills) and are still going strong).

I got a few of these electric, oil filled radiator type heaters for use around their crates -

But other than being extremely safe for use and being very easy to keep clean they are not all that great. Put out a tiny, tiny bit of heat even on their highest setting compared to the propane heaters on the lowest setting and if you want to run 2 of them in the same room at the same time you better have really good wiring in your home to allow it (or trip breakers) and if they DO both run - get ready for a not so pleasant 'surprise' when the electric bill arrives at the end of the month. :(

Other downside to those type of electric heaters is that they are pretty much all china made junk. So 'when' that cheap chinese sensor inside them goes out after a year or so are you handy with a mutimeter so you can troubleshoot it and figure out which one to replace or do you just toss the entire heater and go get a new one?

It's electric but yeah that is the vent for the fan blowing the warm air. He is a project manager for military and other government build sites so his office when he is home is in his 50' trailer. It works for what he wants (considering it is used for a small space and not a room ) when he is temporary and doesn't want to use the propane for a slight chill.

Got it. Like the way that looks.

Your guy definitely seems to have found the happy spot on it! :)

Nice fire and peaceful setting! Do you bring a chainsaw along with you for cutting firewood?
Actually I don't usually bother with fires when camping in summer. I am blessed with a wood fire all winter at home so that "firebug" thrill isn't the same. This lovely lot of wood was left by all the weekend campers who stocked up their firewood as if it was TP during a Covid lockdown! Enough for me to have a camp fire every night for a week if I want!
