Totally know that feeling... it really felt like a full time job / taking care of a baby with Ripley the first 2 months. I was exhausted and passed her off to my husband as soon as he got home from work so I could have a thought to myself or nap. I'd take the time off!! You won't regret the time spent with her and setting her up for a good foundation for training!

Funny you said this. I am definitely going to feel guilty leaving Jasper inside when I am working with the puppy. At the same time I have been showering Jasper with love and attention to make sure he feels loved- yet I also need to love and pay attention to this new little being I have. Ill get used to it and figure out a good system. I mean its the first day- my only goal was to introduce the dogs safely.
Sleepy time. I hear these danes grow so fast that they look bigger each morning.

So we pretty much didn’t sleep last night. This puppy screams bloody murder for a good 20mins at a time. Then sleeps for maybe an hour or two. Then screams again. She also had that new puppy diarrhea in her crate. My bedroom smelt awful. Lmao

One thing I have noticed is that she is super calm compared to Jasper when he was this age. Jasper was always really busy. Throwing around all his toys, chewing his bed. This pup sits and watches most of the time. Plays a little bit. Chases me around. But other than that she sleeps. Hopefully she is physically okay. I hope its just the breed.

Hahaha! Busy = nut case. It almost makes me worried this puppy is sick haha. But she eats, drinks and plays so I think shes okay. Just the breed difference. Pretty crazy. She is only my second puppy ever.
Now that I think of it- she is big compared to Jaspers 8week size.
Great photo of him giving her the big SNIFF! Love her adorable freckle face!! She is darling. I don't know too much about Danes, but had a friend with 4 of them. They seem pretty chill....more so than a Dobe....until they would get in the Rally Ring

Danes are way more chilled than Dobermans are so I'm sure that's pretty normal. My coworker got a Mastiff pup a couple weeks ago and he has little bursts of energy, then naps for quite a while.
She sure is cute and I'm glad Jasper is adjusting to his new sister.

I am honestly surprised how well he is doing. Because the first hour at home was not good. He was being so weird and I didn’t trust him.
Now he keeps trying to play with her but she is too small for his rough housing lol. I am showering him with love and individual play time. She is doing well with him. Even a difference from yesterday to today. She chases him in the yard but still isn’t sure about his play style just yet. I think she needs some size on her first.
I adjusted the times I get up in the middle of the night and she didn’t cry at all until Adam left for work early this morning. So we are figuring it out.
Big brother teaching Sit. She is gonna take a bit more time than Jasper I can tell. Danes aren’t the smartest. Haha
