Looking very willing and attentive! You had me startled when you teleported off screen,, and Jazz woke up with all the warm "good girls" she heard and presented herself for a pat.

I have a pretty slick editing program on my phone where I can stitch certain parts of different videos together :woot2: hehe I forget to turn the sound off when I upload them  she definitely works better when I'm cheering her on!!

That’s awesome Ruby.

Really enjoyed the trick video and taking notes on the agility cues.

Thanks for posting.

The biggest thing is following shoulders. My shoulders have to be pointing the direction I want her to go but you also want them to listen to verbal cues when you're working at a distance or want them to take whatever is in front of them. Less running that way

Did some different work with Moo Man last night. The new class we had on Tuesday gave me the idea. The trainer had us putting food at a 'finish line' and then we'd walk our dog toward it. If they started to pull on their leashes, we had to reset and go back to the start line. They only got the food when they loose leash walked the whole way up to it. I've been trying to think of new things to work on with Moo since we've gone as far as we can with weave pole training since he's still so young and Dog Dad is traveling this week and I REALLY wanted tired dogs last night.

I took his whole 1.5C of kibble that he gets for dinner and made him work for all of it. Took almost half an hour to get through it and we did do some weave work and a lot of out of site stays and what not but this was the part worth showing. I know a lot of us are stuck inside because of weather and running out of ideas so thought maybe someone would find this inspirational :woot2:

First I'm just setting up a line of food and we're walking by it. I am rewarding him when looks at me. When we've completed the task twice, I give him the OK to eat the little piles.

For the second exercise, I had him in a sit-stay and put some distance between us and started tossing kibble. I think he moves because the temptation was too much and he knew he wasn't supposed to go after it  Then I move away and do a recall in which he has to pass by ALL THAT FOOD ON THE FLOOR. I think Moo loves food SO MUCH that he's become an expert at ignoring it because he knows he'll then get ALL OF IT.

This little half hour straight working session did wonders for tiring him out, even though they were in their crates in the morning and afternoon yesterday

He did a great job!

We had no plans this weekend so did zilch with the dogs. Whoops. Did a spur of the moment ring rental for me and Rubie to keep our momentum going.

An hour rental is a loooooooooooong time when you're the only handler/dog. Could probably have been just fine with 30 minutes but I brought out her tug leash for the last ten minutes and she more than willing to keep working for it!

The teeter goosed her (end of the video) and she all of a sudden got very nervous with it. We worked on it for 10 minutes to get her comfortable on it. Totally my fault for not releasing her far enough away.

These are some snippets of stuff we worked on. Nice thing about having the whole ring to ourselves was we could do a small part of the course over and over. Rubie is so FAST! We were both panting!
