Fun & Useful Training session

This is a video I took at a training that my friend has every week, I sent her the video and she posted it with her own comments. She doesn't teach AKC trial type stuff, just behavior training to get your dog to listen, behave, and have fun in company of other dogs. Nobody was perfect, since I was filming you'll know Asha because her recall comes right to the camera. LOL. The trainer has a Dobe and a GSD both on down stay and recalling together.

They're always good even if the dogs aren't perfect the team is working on it - I drop in now and then to visit and partake a little, and most of the people show up for the Sunday class after some one on one lessons. The group class is free to anyone who has had training with the teacher whether the last month or 5 years ago. I think that's an awesome service she provides!

That leap frog is a really cool drill! I would need to do more work on mine to get them to perform that well.

It really is - dogs are worked on recall, down stay and distractions all in one set! Asha did break and come to me on the first run, when Michele used "here" for calling her dogs. So after that we used name-first calling. I used "Asha, here!" and that worked. These dogs are learning to become dog-neutral when in company, but are also social and friendly. There were 2 other dogs not ready for this drill that stayed on the sidelines, nobody is asked to do things before they are ready.
