The longer nail does nothing for traction on the wood floors, but outside sure they do.
The sound on the wood gets annoying.
Daisy is pretty good about letting me dremel,Rocky is scared $#!+less.
I found a local groomer who will do him for five bucks!Ten is he's out of hand and needs two people.
I'm thinking..bargain!!!
I came across this pic of a poor boy with longer nails than I've ever seen. I guess they were actually curled under so he had a hard time walking.
Very cool, man, thanks! I think my Tim Allen brand one has a silver button that can be pushed, but my Handi Works brand does not. Hmm. It dos have a little wrench that looks just like that though.@Oh Little Oji

Agreed on the Quik Stop. I've had that little jar for quite a few years. Still works. Now, a grinder tool getting caught in hair is something I had not thought of! Just another benefit of having Dobermans!I just wanted to add...if you use clippers it is a good idea to have some Quik Stop on hand just in case you hit the quick. Works instantly and a small jar lasts forever. I dremel Spikes nails (actually did them for the first time a few days ago, as they seem to grow slowly and he is a mad man running the yard). I was so surprised how good he was, I was able to do them by myself without having to fight with him! I clip my Yorkie's nails, as the dremmel has a tendency to get caught in the hair...not good. I have hardwood floors and I did notice Spike skid a little more on them since I cut his nails. lol
They sell a guard for Dremel's so it doesn't happen but when we had our Sheltie I still had to be careful. Now, a grinder tool getting caught in hair is something I had not thought of!
