She's here!

Yes that is correct. The first letter of the name of every dog in that litter will start with a "G" so if you get one young enough then you can pick the name as long as it starts with a "G". That will be the registered name. That only will matter if you title your dog really. You can always pick your own 'call name'. Some score books and registries have places to include a call name. Drogon is his call name. His registered name is APOLLO FROM LIPARLAND.

I thought that is what she was saying. I have just enough trouble understanding her that I always have some doubt. We communicate mostly by text or email with an occasional phone call. I think I'll stick with written communication from here on out. It's much easier.
Thanks for clearing that up.

Vera's dogs have beautiful crops! I think you will be pleased.

Now the name thing. I talked to Vera. We have a bit of a launguge barrier. I think I can call the pup whatever I want. I think it is the registered name that should start with G. G**** from Lipar Land.
Is that right @Drogon ?
It was my impression that you need to choose a G name for her registered name, but you of course can use whatever you want for her call name.

With Oji, I needed to pick an E name for his registered name.

I think I saw someone mentioned the name Guapa? I think Guapo means good-looking in Spanish or Portuguese, right? Is Guapa the female version of that word? At any rate, I like that for a name pretty well.

I love the name Grace. Gracie, too. Sounds just perfect for a beautiful female.

:thumbsup2:

I like it too. I LOVE that it means blessing. This little girl is definitely a blessing.

My friend was here this morning for coffee on the patio. Of course the subject of Rumor came up. I was showing her pictures of Rumor and her parents. Telling how it's going and my potential plans for Rumor. She stopped, grabbed my hand and said "OMG! You're already in love with this dog. How do you know she won't be a little shit and won't eat your house? I have to warn you, I might laugh when you want to get rid of her in a few months."
GET OUT! was on the tip of my tongue. I can't believe that after 40 years I still question our friendship.

Some people just DON'T get it.
I heard the warnings and comments from my friends when they found out i was getting two pups, but chose not to listen to those comments because I had to consider the source!!

I am very sensitive when it comes to my furred 4 legged and feathered 2 legged kids and do not like unsolicited advise from those that do not share my love of animals!!

Ha, yeah, that was me..."guapa" is the feminine version of good-looking in Spanish...couldn't help myself!

Glory...Grace....love them both! But then I'm a spiritual type. :) And besides that, both seem to fit your search for the Perfect Puppy, don't ya think? :D

I do like at least a two syllable name for calling them and Grace would probably turn into Gracie for me too. :)

I really like Glory too. I think either one would be very fitting for her.

I think she can still call her Rumor. The G name is just for the registered name on the papers.

Usually most of the dog stuff is left up to me. I do it because I like doing it. I do put names up for a vote but this time I don't really care at all about the name. Whatever my family comes up with will be fine by me. I doubt we will use her registered name outside of paperwork for shows.

This is the same person that thought I needed to seek some professional help because I grieved the loss of Greta for so long. I really need to be more careful who I call friend.
I think my first reaction would be anger by the comments by your friend.
But I think more so I feel sorry for your friend. She's never experienced the relationship you have, that many here have.

Nothing warms the heart like a puppy.
You never know, maybe your new pups destiny is to change the perceptions of your friend.
Knowing some of your past I have no doubt this new pup will have positive effects on all that meet her.

Can't wait to see more pics and watching your new journey begin.

Anger was exactly what I felt at first. Then I looked at her and all I could feel was pitty, in fact, so much that it brought tears to my eyes. I can't help but feel sorry for someone that has not shared that kind of relationship. It's truly unconditional, for me, an amazing thing to be a part of. Most humans are not capable of it unless you are talking about child/parent relationship.

As far as my pup changing her perceptions, I don't know, there is something wrong there which probably explains why she just got divorced for the 5th or 6th time.
