I caught a very short video of a black fox in the horse fence tonight. It wasn't as close as last time and didn't sit there as long, but you get the idea. I'm still so disappointed the last one didn't record when it sat there forever.

And a little 'thud' or 'whish' sound as he goes by the camera about the 11 second mark. The deer leaves in a hurry in the very beginning of it. lolYou should have seen how long it sat there a week or so when I "thought" I was recording. It was right next to the garage door, which is only about 40' from the house and the dogs were barking like that. I think what I thought was recording was over 2 minutes and it was there before I walked out.I'm shocked that he sat there that long with the dogs barking like crazy! lol Did someone touch the hot wire or does it just look like its moving?
Hubby needs to get our cameras out too. I told him he needs to set one up on the deck too, to see what the heck is going up there at night.I've got a few pics and vids that I've accumulated.

Gawd, Really? Yea, something I'd be pissed about too! lol On the other hand, omg, I can't believe they are so bold!!! On your deck?! I'll bet the dogs went nutso with that scent! Mine would be all over the deck, nose to the deck! lol! This is what I woke up to a week or 2 ago. Not exactly a wildlife pic, but do they honestly have to come up there to poop? LOL
Very beautiful and you are lucky !
Wow that's amazing! I didn't know there were wild turkeys this far north in Minnesota either.one jumped up in our window bird feeder...I went outside to see if I could take pictures and they were not scared at all.
Yep. I'd say that's a bear there. I'd be on the phone with the moving company. This bear really was this close because he really wanted to get back in the horses grain barrel, even though I was trying to shoo it away.

The black bears are usually harmless, but this one was the most persistent one I've ever come across. I don't know how many times I had to run back out there and try to chase it away and the first time I almost walked into it when it was in the wood shed as I rounded the corner to get the horses grain.Seriously though, I'd want to have a high-powered firearm on my person. But then I don't have much experience with bear.

Well that was pleasant. Maybe I should snap a pic of the possom on my street that got hit by some driver. The day it was hit, we had two buzzards snacking on it. This was maybe two weeks ago or more. It is pretty flattened now by the car and truck traffic. Kind of surprising how long the carcass stays there. Here's my wild life picture

Can ya guess what it was? Lol the boys found a half dead raccoon in the backyard last week, labored breathing and not really moving, just an occasional paw twitch, even after being poked by 4 nosey boys. (Thankfully!) We're not sure what happened, maybe he was trying to get into the chicken coop and the neighbors dog got him? But got called (shocked) back home before he was done? The coop is right at the property line, so it's not uncommon for Cody to be over our way and he's always out running loose. Anyway, we called the Township police department and they gave us permission to put a bullet in him. One shot to the head then a shovel moved him to the fire pit and he was lit up. Fyi, it's true when they die that bodily functions release. The boys thought it was hilarious to see a dead raccoon pee while being carried by shovel. I told them hurry up and dump it before anything other than urine came out! Freaked me out a bit though, John put a bullet in him (right in the noggin, close range, maybe 4 ft?) And he jumped and "scurried" a few feet. I panicked and yelled shoot it again! You didn't kill it! Here it was the muscle twitching (on overdrive!) when it died. Anyway, just glad it's not living in our woodside plotting on my chickens anymore! Also good to know that even as residential as we are, the cops will give us the ok for that if needed. The coon (I like to call them trash pandas btw) laid in one spot long enough for me to call dispatch, for them to call an officer, have him call me, hang up and call his Sargeant, then call me back prior to shooting him. Felt bad he suffered so long. A little bit anyway haha! He was kinda cute, and maybe only 5 lbs? So he was just a baby.
My buddy in Co was having issues with them for a while. He went to the Dept of Wildlife to file a report after 3 incidents in a week.Yep. I'd say that's a bear there. I'd be on the phone with the moving company.

That's pretty good to know, you call and ask if you can mercy a coon with a gun here in Ca and SWAT would be sealing off the street and sending in a drone lickedy split. Here's my wild life picture
