Wound

A bandaid or wound dressing will not stay unless you shave the hair off.
You can use medical spray adhesive to help but will be difficult to hold him while you spray…plus I think that’s overkill.

I would clean with wound care solvent Vashe’ and then cover with triple antibiotic ointment.
You can put a gauze over it but make sure you add plenty of antibiotic ointment on both wound and gauze- you don’t want it to dry up and stick to the wound bed, will be difficult to take off when cleaning. Then multi wrap medical tape around/over it. Tbh, this may or may not stay…depends on the Doberman. I’ve had some stay and some did not.

When it did not, I cleaned with Vashe’ and then packed over it with antibiotic ointment and let it ride. Mine licked at it once but redirected well with commands and play/exercise immediately afterwards.

I truly believe every family needs to have a bottle of Vashe’ in their household…it’s the best wound care solution I’ve ever used. It kills bacteria-etc… on contact.

Good tips! Have heard same on the Vashe elsewhere. Reminded me to Order that and the Vetericyn for the dobe first aid toolbox.
