We got a Letter....(Noise Complaint)

When we leave he does kick up a fuss and bark quite a bit but he has always done that, I'm assuming he then plays with the barin games and giant bones and then jumps on the sofa that he's not allowed on to sleep, Hades in general has been off the people smoking weed were not the ones that complained no, I just suspect the smell is making Hades antsy and is why he is more restless to be honest I hate the smell of weed too so I would be antsy smelling that on off, the nabhors have not complained once about Hades but the business downstairs has, so it's a bit confusing to me as if they have complained what have nextdoor not?

I'm just rather peed off and upset by the whole situation.

But we are looking to get recordings set up soon just in case...

Is smoking weed illegal in the UK?
If you suspect they are the complainant of the noise maybe you just need to have a talk with them?
Complaints go both ways, you know.;)
Use their stoned paranoia to your advantage. :)

Yes, it is illegal! I would encourage anyone who suspects drug activity in their community to contact the authorities. Drug dealers in my area couldn't give two s**ts about selling weed to children. It's disgraceful and scary!

I'm honestly not sure what to do with the weed smoking nabhors as it's all inclusive at the moment but we will soon see when we set up the recordings. I hope they are not if so I shall be bringing it up with their landlord as we do have their contact. Just got to keep my cards close to me untill I'm sure I can play them..

That's horrific :disrelieved: nasty buggers....

I have Emailed DRUE about out situation asking about a possible temporary foster should the worse come to pass, Just need to cover all possible outcomes from this event, after some research on our council regarding noise pollution the noise pollution fee is £5,000 in our council!!!

God Im so stressed right now...:machinegun::complain:

Of course the neighbours who are smoking weed aren't complaining... They don't want to be caught with illegal substances!! If it's in fact the smell and noise they're making that is causing your issues, I would complain about it because you're on the edge of losing your dog because of them.

Well we went out last night and filmed him, yup he kicked off for a bit and then went to his business ate the Kong filling chewed the massive bone we left him, then he starts barking and howling going absolutely nuts!! We are trying to see what is causing it but when he stops for a moment we can hear someone tapping on what we thought was the window but our other nabhors walks out so we assumed if someone was tapping our window we would have seen them tell stop and tell them not too, so we listen closer and realise that it's someone tapping our door!! We have a shared hallway so we have the main door to get into the hallway and then two separate doors to get into other appartment so I'm 98% it's nextdoor bloody doing it. We are going to take another recording tomorrow and try to definitely confirm it as our apartment does make noises but not like a tapping noise like we herd.

Bloody hell! What did I tell you? Someone could be winding him up by knocking your door?! Sounds like I was on the money. Some people are really odd and I guess get a kick out of things that annoy others. So pathetic!
Make sure you keep all your recordings in case the Council kick off.

You know what I would do? Put a camera above my front door. That'll soon put off the little s**ts!
Even a fake camera would do the trick, as a deterrent.

Bloody hell! What did I tell you?
I'm with ya!!! I knew a camera would prove something and I can't tell you how reading that raised everything in me!!!! LOL Blood pressure, breathing :pullhair::cus::machinegun: Oh, I'm so mad! I can't believe someone is doing that! Be sure to save all the videos for proof and keep going! This is a terrible injustice and I would be frigging HOT!

Just like our jerk neighbour who stood at the end of the drive making our dogs bark so they could complain. I dont understand people!! I agree about setting up a camera to see outside your front door.
Is it possible they're banging on the walls though?

I would love to see you put in a hidden camera and once they knock a recording of an adult dog barking, growling viciously to sound off. Would probably pee my pants laughing at their reaction to that. Sorry....I have a twisted sense of humor. Lol
Me too! On the camera (love cameras!) and on having a twisted sense of humor. Or is that Karma??

Any updates for us, @Hades?

Yes I do! Completely forgot!

Nothing has esceleted thank God and since we do more excersise with him alot of his energy is gone after we leave for work, he still has a little moan to himself but not for long, and with it being summer now all he wants to do is stay on the shade and sleep.

That being said our landlord has notified us saying he's sold the place and we have to move out by September, so we have started looking for places but at least he's given us a few months!

It's so good to hear that it didn't escalate, that's terrific news!

Exercise is so important to this breed. Happy to hear you've upped his regime and the results have shown for themselves. A tired doberman is a happy doberman :)

And you're right, at least your landlord has given you plenty of notice. I hope you find the perfect place to settle.

Thanks for the update :)

I think being left free in a house is much more frightening than being in his own little man cave. :)
From personal experience do not leave a younger puppy free to roam the house no matter how good and quiet he becomes as a result. It is very hard to take that level of freedom away from them. Better to just insist on crating.
