Waking up at night for food

Snoops

Hello

My little one will be 1 years old next Month and has recently got into a habit of waking up 3am , 4am wanting her food!!!
I feed her twice a day 500kg each of natural instinct.

Plan was to feed 5am and 5pm, 500kg each time.

After shes eaten in the morning she goes back to bed to sleep.

Do I need to ignore her or feed her later in the evening like 7pm?

Thanks

Agreed. Our puppy used to start whining as soon as he woke up for food. If we did get him out of his crate before our alarms when off, we'd take him outside and praise going potty but no food until WE were ready to get up. He's caught on and won't usually make a peep unless we hit snooze :woot2:

Don't give in and she'll catch on. She's testing you ;)

I agree she is just testing you. But. If she gets a lot of activity she may actually be hungry. We give Kaiser a treat ball with some kibble as a snack in the evening. It not only keeps him busy but the extra food keeps his stomach off a fixed schedule. That said we also try to vary the meal times so he doesn't have hunger pukes.

Can’t wait to see the pics! How’s she doing on raw?
I used Natural Instinct and Bella loves it. Eden is still great and highly recommended.
I just wanted to give her something that looked alot.
With Eden in a slow bowl she does eat it slower.
I also give raw lamb nexk, spine a few times in the week and she likes those. Her teeth are very white and very sharp now!!!

Her poop is not as consistent in firmness as it was on Eden.

Thinking maybe we do raw morning, Eden evening.

Not sure how true this is, but heard Dobermans shouldn't have grain free due to them about needing something in grains good for DCM.
