Um, no words.

I wish.

Maybe 4,000 views will put a dent in her biz.

Great link.
Quick impressions, with facts to be verified by anyone shopping for this breeders dogs.

1.Seems to be 3 litters going at same time, with no explanation of staffing for the key early human socialization in puppy stage thats so helpful for temperament, confidence.

2.no actual echo or holter tests shown on ads for parents
(We all know tbe DNA markers on Embark or Wisdom doesn't mean squat) and so there is no claim to good health. This is unethical given the well know issues in the breed.

3. Purebred is not wellbred. I defer to others shopping to confirm as to pedigree data on DobeQuest or elsewhere to confirm COD and longevity in the lines.

4. And misrepresenting breeding to white/fawn by crossing Z factor dogs which guarantees major skin, eye health problems,
See great explanation by FB user in the link.

Is immoral and borderline fraud, imho.

5. And calling/inferring obvious cross breeds (dane or catahoula for merle, harlequin is most likely?)
as "purebred doberman" is NOT ethical.
Note great danes are prone to heart problems and shorter avearge lifespans than dobes, so the chances are higher for earlier than average life and death by DCM.

Bottomline: in my opinion-
Its fraudulent, false advertising, shady business practices.

What to do?
BBB is toothless but maybe there is a Chamber of Commerce or other business oversight entity in area to lodge a complaint, including business licenses.

Someone call USDA and whoever else regulates breeders in TX.

Usually when someone mistepresents a product or service this blatantly there are ways to check if they are operating in violation of other business or regulatory agencies.

Now, having said all that- the free market will fill a need thats unmet*
Marketers also say "create the need" - thus the flashy AI pages mimicking typical show or working breeder ads.

Best thing we and other dobe fans can do is educate the public so pass it around:
Caveat Emptor.

* read The Dog Merchants by Kim Kavan
Two interviews stood out:
1. A large rescu non-profit explained the market demand for pets is only fulfilled 40% by ethical breeders
2. A large, tested, inspected by USDA commercial breeder in the midwest admitted that 40% of their orders for puppies cane from rescues, for popular breeds or crosses

I was wondering why I was seeing complete litters of black nosed curs, catahoula crosses sold by Helen Woodward a couple years ago to new pet buyers...$500 each

These are strong utility dogs with strong prey drive and stubborn temperaments...not the typical sweet lab mix...

Sadly, too many people buy dogs for looks, without considering the rest. Or because they are showing up as the latest thing on social media. Go figure.

Same kennel that prompted me to start this thread. They are back with a halloween litter. And yup, looks like a nightmare.

Jeez, where is the CRISPR edited glow in the dark dobes, Courtney? Cmon girlfren! You need to up your game and create something original, instead of free riding on actual brand names of carefully developed purebreds...

Well this is gonna be special...
Crossing a nippy not safe for kids hound bred to trot beside the coach with a multifunction man protector, plus adding guaranteed skin and eye problems? Can you say Frankenstein dog, and feel free to quote me!

To mislead and rip off the clueless first time buyers. These are dogs that are gonna be rehomed in a year for the average impulse buyer seeking the kewlest fashion item,
thats if the dogs are lucky,

or dumped in a kill shelter,

or cost thousands more in vet bills than average to the owner who keeps them.

Sickening.
Caveat Emptor.

Wait, how do these mutts get registered?? 😳
She is using the scammy Continental Kennel Club, a private organization, imho again to free ride on the credibility of actual national breed clubs with pedigrees. AKC, UKC, and the "real" CKC - Canadian Kennel Club.

This is the textbook case of scam breeder using all the social media flashy advertising misleading misrepresentation tricks while skirting loose regulatory state oversight on business practice and USDA oversight on animal husbandry.

To be fair, its a free market and Courtney is simply copying what goes on the big commercial market breeders in MO and other states who sell to order at auction for whatever the popular designer dog of the day is on demand, via online petfinder sites that are simply brokers arranging transport of product from wholesale to retail buyers, or in some cases "rescues" that work with "partners" who deliver whole litters to be sold to happy young first time buyers who only later learn that sweet Catahoula cross bred was originally a hard dog bred as a pig catch and hold dog in LA swamps....

is not your sweet lab showline social prom queen that loves everyone...;)

Buyer Beware.

If I sound cynical its because I've been to enough shelters and watched the business change especially after Covid...

All those Tijuana Shelter Dogs adopted to fill demand? Just the lower end of the market copying the others- read ""The Dog Merchants" by Kim Kavan

Or use AI to give you the Cliff Notes* version...

🤣 * now I'm really dating myself...

I tell you what... I hopped over to their FB page and they full on embrace The Hate. No engagement is bad engagement on social media, unfortunately. They interestingly do not allow comments on the FB posts lol
Yup. All eyeballs is good metrics on FakeBook when it comes to engagement...

I'm sure she is on TikTok, as well if she follows the profile..."DNA CLEAR" etc...

And before I get accused of being a white knight for all buyers- nope.
As @Nordika said once- some people want what they want...its not my job to fix stoopid.

Just one more data point:

She is in violation of the Continental Breeder Clubs own guidelines for ethical breeding:

Maybe a query at CKC USA wondering why she is not using the official branding logo:

Vs
This:

IMG_2709.webp
A cautious buyer might double check to see if she is actually paid up and justified in using the CKC logo as advertising,

when so much of her dogs characteristics are in violation of the ethical breeding standard promoted by CKC USA?

If they called it a rare Doberhula they could raise the price to $7,000 like the doodles.

I really don't care what they do except the fact that they are calling them Dobermans when clearly they are not.

Yeah, I still can't get over the "Doodleman Pinscher."
