She will be here Friday. :thumbsup: I'm almost at the point of counting the hours.

I am driving up there and making hubby drive home. No way I could drive with her right there in the car. Yes, I will be the one holding her and getting to know her first. That said, she looks HUGE, don't know if she is gonna fit in my lap.
 
I was thinking she looked pretty big because she fills Vera's lap. Don't know if anyone has seen pics of Vera but petite would not be used to describe her.
The pic of Rumor on the floor makes her look like a 6 month old. I cropped that pic so you could see her funny face.
I think she is going to be a lap full. Of course there is always the back seat. More room for her to stretch out on me. :biggrin:
 
So it's almost time to start a new thread! The She's Home thread! Can you believe it?
Yep! tomorrow is the big day!:woot: I meet my baby girl. I'm so excited to meet her. There's just something about that face. She had me at first pic. :love:
Everything is ready, mostly me. Looks like the weather is going to cooperate so it should work out just fine. The drive across IL. should make me nuts, straight, flat, dead corn fields. Boring :sleep:
I'll do my best to keep you updated and yes with pics too. Keep your fingers crossed this goes as easy as it is supposed to. :fingersx:

Now if I can sleep tonight it sure will make things easier for hubby...
 
I am SOOO incredibly excited for you @GennyB ! This is gonna be an amazing experience. I can't wait to get to know her!!

Unfortunately, I have bad news for your hubby!!...There is NO WAY you are sleeping tonight! (Sorry!)

But...when y'all get home, she'll be tired from the trip and so will you...OMG the snuggles in store!
 
Well as expected I didn't sleep much. I can be a bit of a crab when I don't have enough shut eye. Hopefully the excitement of bringing my girl home will stave off the beasties.
I don't think it's gonna be much fun today until I get there and see that little bundle of mischief.

You might be pissy until you get there, but you will have a SWIFT attitude turn-around when that baby walks up to you!
This is so corny, but I really have the "Christmas feelies" over this! I just truly could NOT be more happy for you!! (This is saying something, because I am a bitter bitch lately!!)
That little Rumor has hit the jackpot on families!
