Hopefully they do a good job. Nero's one dew claw is mucked up.
Mucked up? Is that because it was removed wrong or he still has them and there is a problem of some sort?
I think in rare occurrences they can be attached to the bone and it can make it harder. Not sure if that was the case here or not though.
Ill post a picture later (sorry for the thread hijack btw.) On the one side he has a little nail that grows. They're all removed but the job was done poorly. We'll fix it when hes all done growing.
That has got to be sore and irritating for poor Nero!!
Interesting. I've never seen that before but my guess is that it was somehow attached to the bone.

Guess what? Rumor is 5 weeks old today! Do you know what that means? She will be cropped @ 8 weeks and then given a couple of weeks to heal and get her stitches out. So we are at thee half way point!
5 weeks down and about 5 to go!

I absolutely adore cropped ears. The ban in the UK has stopped me from achieving the goal of a cropped and docked pup but someday I hope to adopt a European dobe (C/D). This will be a dream come true for us all. Anyhoo, do you know what length the crop is?

I don't know the exact length of the crop. But I do like the crops of Vera's dogs. I'm thinking the crop would be very similar to Valencia (the dam oif the litter) or like @Drogon crop. I think they are great looking crops.
No offence to anyone cause we all have our own taste, but I'm just not a fan of the super long crops.
Our guy has this too. Vet did s poor job with removal (poor job on his tail too)
However, I had a poodle with one, and I could hack it back to the skin (no Kwik) and so it never bothered her. I won't put him through a surgery for it unless it bothers him. Dew claws aren't removed on all breeds, so it isn't an issue to me so long as they are cared for
Wow, time seems to be going fairly quickly! I hope we see some of those individual 1 month photos soon. 
I'm guessing it will be very similar to Demelza's since she came from Vera as well and I think it's a great fit for their heads.
Is it? Feels like forever to me. I just want to close my eyes and wake up at the airport.
I'm ready! She has some brand new toys, a new crate, a few collars and on Friday the posting supplies arrived.
Yesterday I took a look around the house to make sure all is puppy proofed. We're good, now I just need the puppy!
I think her crop vet is fantastic! Nice looking crop that seems to fit well. I especially like Valdo's crop. It fits him so well that it seems like it is a "Valdo exclusive"
LOL true. I know just how it was when I was on your side of the fence waiting. It did help pass the time to buy stuff for them like you are though.
I have also been researching Mom and Dad to keep myself distracted. I found a pic of a Valencia pup that made me happy. I know they give the results of a nice litter to the sire but I still believe Momma plays a role too.
If Rumor is anything like this Valencia pup, I'll be over the moon happy.
