sunny days :)

Yes they are! Layla is beautiful, I think she could be a runway model at any doggie fashion show! That girl is ready to be a princess! On a serious note, I do not think she looks under weight at all. Some people have no idea how to tell between different breeds. I am guessing the person who said that knows almost nothing about dog breeds.

Thanks @Firestar Dobe. One of the vets here actually has a whippet called Matt ( I secretly think he's a whippet greyhound mix as he is rather tall) and she told me that people are constantly asking her if the dog is sick and is there for treatment (he likes to chill out in the waiting area) because he's so thin (well not really he's fine just a sight hound) so just tells them yes he had a terrible case of worms and is recovering.

Someone once asked what breed my dog was, I said that he is a Norwegian Elkhound. The guy looked at me and said, "no lady, that's a Siberian Husky". I told him that was going to come as quite a shock to the AKC, as he had taken Best in Show at the regional Norwegian Elkhound show a month earlier!

Hysterical. I love that story. I personally think besides the thick coat and curled tail theres not much similarity between a Sibe and a Norwegian Elk hound. Awesome that your elk hound won the regional BIS. We had a vet tell us that our Italian greyhound has to be mix (he may have some whippet in him I admit thats a possibility) she insisted that he must have manchester terrier in him as he's black and very muscular. There is not a single breeder of manchester terriers in South Africa so I thought that actually it would be quite neat if he was as that would make him very special indeed. Even vets can be weird.
