also seems like UKC is easier for newbies and would be encouraging.

Yes, it is easier because it's not so "dog eat dog" with the competitors in conformation. The competition for UKC is every bit as tough as AKC, in this area at least. Many of the people who tried conformation in AKC were really soured about the bad experience and said "never again" compared to people who did UKC. OTH, the non-judged AKC events are a ton of fun.

This morning before we were heading home, the sun finally came out so Olive basked in the sun on the bed by the window in the hotel room.


And within 15 minutes of getting home she was back on her chair. She was considering sitting on @Katyusharocket 's girl Zastava but just didn't quite know her well enough yet. LOL

Dog Admission Day at the arboretum today

Oh lucky you! My girlfriend with that big riding arena took her Great Dane along with another girlfriend and her Doberman! I wasn't able to go. Too many things going on today but that's a cool picture! Maybe she'll send me a picture or two that I can post!
