Oh, we've been dock diving for quite a bit! Ripley loooves dock diving and has two titles.

I haven't either been here long enough or haven't paid attention in the right threads but that's just awesome!

Ripley was showing the others the ropes, though!

Katyusha was introduced to the river during her 2nd summer and only really gets in water in order to chase her sisters in it or to get in the kayak with me. Water is something she tolerates so I wouldn't expect her or ask her to dock dive, but the little one .... I think she might feel differently about it. I'll make time to get her to the river yet this summer.

You'll have to see if there is a NADD event nearby as they usually have try its where you can use the pool for 10ish min for about $10.

Thank you for this! The baby Z likes to fetch and this isn't something I would rule out for her. There is a club for this that covers our area, although "our area" in these parts can still be a 3 hour drive, so I might have to improvise at the local lake access dock. But I really should get the baby over there and see what she thinks...

I saw people asking ChatGPT (ai) to describe their Instagram feed so I tried it and this is what it said about mine/Remy’s.

How the AI described it. It creeps me out that it recognized a few of those pictures were from a dog show. It didn’t realize all of the pictures were of the same dog though.

I took the week off to train dogs and lordy are we having fun and making progress! But I just liked this head tilt from today at the farmer's market.
I didn't think she was doing too bad today in a small but busy area. I think she knows the skills to pass CGC but I don't see her as reliable enough with them yet to book an evaluation date. One of the vendors who I know but hadn't seen in a while was nice enough to hold her leash while I disappeared for 3 minutes and he said there were no signs of distress or pulling (in my direction). That was our first practice for that item but I know now it's not an issue.

BCAT and First Dock Dive

Over memorial day weekend at the 5 day show Ripley was doing conformation at we decided to let Ripley do some more dock diving for reward! She hasn't even seen a pool since March in Kentucky and this will be only her second event so far. Boy, did she make us proud!!! She went from 7'6 and 8'6...

Dock Senior finished

🌊💦Ripley got to play last weekend in addition to trialing in obedience and finished the weekend out making splashes by earning another title in dock diving! Rip earned her Dock Senior* title! 😁No new personal best (17'2) but she upped her personal average by 5" just from 3 splashes! Stavros...

Yeah looks like there are NADD events only about an hour from you so that's not bad at all! Strong prey drive definitely helps

My husband has been staining our back deck over the last week and a half. Doing a few boards every night after dinner. Only have a few more to go! And last night he had a helper! Only for a moment. I had to call her off of him. Before I took that picture she had both paws on his back! LOL I said, You can't help!

Annie is bonded with both of us. Which is really nice for my husband especially. When we got Buddy he was a bit timid, especially with a man. . It took a lot for Buddy to warm up to him. He eventually did, but not to the extent of Annie.

Annie on the other hand, can't wait to see him when he comes home from work! He loves that she runs to greet him and jumps on him and licks his face! While I teach her not to jump, he encourages it. That's okay, she's learning who she can do it to and who she can't. I'm just happy to see the relationship. He told me one day, We've never had a dog so affectionate.

3rd Annual Barks and Brews!

A couple of weeks ago when we were at the White Sands. J & Reckless found a place to sit for a minute on our 2 mile hike, but in a typical Asha move, she has to see if she can upset an apple cart. Hahaha, everyone has learned to just be still and nobody get hit. Dogs on leash is required at this place and as you can see she is on leash, so no rules broken . Also no other humans in sight and the e-collar is on, so zero chance of her disturbing anyone but her own party.
