Random Pet Photo of the Day - 2024

We saw these two wandering down our street! They let me walk up to them but they weren't interested in treats so kinda kept moving (toward our busy Main Street). Kept calling in a fun voice, no dice. Yelled a firm "NO!" They stopped dead in their tracks and turned around.

Once we got the big boy on a leash, his sister was more compliant. Called the non emergency police number because we were 99% sure where they came from but it was several blocks away (any other dog we've seen wandering we knew where they belonged).

They didn't have tags on their collars but once the second community police van showed up, someone who knew the family was right behind them and called them to come over (unclear on the whole chain of events??).

Very good pupperonis on an adventure. We did get their names but the were Russian, best we could tell????
Glad you leashed them up for their safety! Roaming dogs sadly don't have a great outlook. :( So many bad things could happen! Looks like the poodle is at least groomed just due for another. I am kind of suspect about the people pulling up to take them and saying they know the family, lol. What is stopping anyone from doing that lol?

Hmmmm so names were mumbled very quickly by someone who was upset/embarrassed/in a rush.

Sounded, to us, like Javier and Rain but with accentuations and pronunciations we weren't familiar with (and "Javier" is in no way Russian, I'm aware!). Igor was involved, so 🤷
Thanks! Names fascinate me, especially names that aren't English language. But y'all probably know that about me by now

Did you ever see those videos where they pan over to somebody kinda spooky standing far away, 😟then they pan away. Then they pan back to the person standing and he's about 20 ft closer.😲 And then they pan away and when they pan over to the person again, he's right in your face?! 😳🤯

That's what this one felt like. 😆 Annie was outside and didn't want to come inside with me so I left her, watching from inside the house. She looked comfortable.

I sat down at the breakfast room table by the window to keep an eye on her while I had a bite to eat. She looked like she was enjoying laying in the Sun.

:spit: Did you think you could have breakfast without Dobereyes on you?

When you need to practice group sit and down stays, you make your own group! Revel, Ripley, Stavros.

Trendy and Ripley. Trendy looks taller but isn't. Her chest just hasn't dropped like Ripley's.

Every morning now is 'Kali and me' time as we go out to the barn. After having Annie for a while, it's just worked out that she is ready for a nap by 6:30 a.m. or so. It's usually around 4:30 a.m. that I take both dogs outside and then feed breakfast. So a couple of hours later she's already napping. I put her in her crate and Kali and I go out to feed horses and clean stalls. So now it's kind of routine. And a nice way to spend time alone with Kali.

Heading into the barn this morning and it's still dark out so not a great picture. But you can see that tail is a blur so you know it's moving! She's always happy to go out there with me. 😁
