Had the girls with me at TSC one day and they were in heat and wearing their underwear. I think one was in some red Haynes underwear and the other in green. Nubs poking out right below the elastic waistbands...

Was a little girl and her mom in line right behind us and I heard the little girl ask her mom why the dogs were wearing underwear. Her mom hesitated and then before she could answer I turned and said, 'Well, Because they are 'Super Dogs' and have Super Dog Powers'. :)

That mom smiled so freaking big I bet her face hurt! :)

She totally agreed with my explanation and her daughter was satisfied as well! :)

I think it took 2 cycles here before both girls had the rules figured out with respect to the underwear and the cycles.

'If you take those off - you better be IN YOUR CRATE' is the main rule. :)

Healthy females living in close proximity will sync up quickly. They do not have to be the same breed or littermates to sync up if they are all raised together and kept relatively close to each other. (living in the same home)

Whitey was within a day or two of the Dobergirls every time until I had her spayed. Dobergirls are generally within hours to a day of each other with respect to when they start and stop the visible signs of that stuff.
 
Remy turned 4 months old today! We went down to the beach and did a little bit of training. He does pretty good with the distractions of other people around! Tried to get a picture of him stacked too but it isn’t that great. One day we’ll get the perfect stack lol!

Great job taking the time to practice stacking in all types of locations! He's gonna do SO good for you in the ring come show time. :purps:
 
No obedience classes close by so we wanted to do SOMETHING and jumped into a trick dog class. Well, as with most things now that we moved, this class isn't close by either but it's "closer" 😂. I did all of Ripleys trick titles by myself at home but knew he needed to get out there so we went for it! If he does good, he will earn his CGC too in 3 weeks. I have a lot more confidence in him than I did with Ripley if that says anything 😁🤞 Different dog but also I was much more prepared to start him off early. You learn something with every dog and become that much better of a trainer for your next. ❤️ He's a good boy.

Elroy went for a training session at Lowes today and the trainers sister joined us with her Cattle Dog. I didn't get a single good photo and I loathe cell photos but Elroy was a good boy and so was the other pup, Petri. No critiques please since I know these aren't good pics.

I see nothing to critique. Clearly they're both good dogs having fun in their moment. And dang . Those smiles! I love the training capabilities of a simple "slightly rockable "lumber cart.

That crap is WAY more difficult (for most dogs) than most would think. The sounds it makes, the uneven motions as it is moving with them on it!

Stick any fido on pretty much anything that moves like that (furniture dolly, warehouse cart, etc) and then move them around on it some and see what they DO! :)

Good training for sure! :)

Aw so glad y'all got to get out and have some fun! What a great day for everyone. I love seeing them SO tired after 🥰
 
I will never forget that first time when these girls were puppies and the trash truck came to empty the dumpster. As soon as it started banging the dumpster to make sure it was empty - they both pissed themselves WHILE running backwards to get away from the sounds of it! :(

I feel fairly confident that NOW they are pretty well desensitized to pretty much anything 'sound wise'. They may perk their ears or go 'investigate' to see what it was that made the sound but there is NO fear and no running from ANY sort of sound (or frequency) that they could possibly encounter. Nope! :)

There are 5 sets of frequently used RR tracks behind the shop. Here lately they have been replacing the ties (the wood beams that the RR tracks rest on) on one of the sets of tracks. The machinery they have been using to do all of that work does not sound anything like what it does when a train is going down the tracks! Between the different sounds, different machines, and different people all being in such close proximity - The girls have been getting some good training here lately. :)

Have not measured it but guessing 10 to 20yds from the dock they like to camp out on when we are outside to the closest set of tracks? It ain't very far away and they are pretty much desensitized to any and all of that! :)

This particular machine they had out today was the one that came after the old ties were removed, the new ties installed, the tracks re-positioned - and it hammered the spikes back into the new ties, securing the tracks in place.

Girls briefly 'investigated' what was going on but gave not a crap about any of it after that single minute of actually looking that way. :)

They are in the same general area in this picture but just pointed in the other direction because the RR stuff going on behind them is not something they are worried about.
