A local brewery posted this pic today. I met this dog a few months ago in the brewery. The owner told me it is a "Victorian Bulldog." It is just a wee bit taller than most English Bulldogs. I am not at all interested in ever owning one, don't worry; but if I recall, I looked it up on the internet and did not find any such breed. Hmmm. By the way, that tongue? Yeah, it was hanging out of his mouth all the time like that – like it's too long or something.

I THINK that Victorian Bulldogs are taller, lighter, and have longer noses than your typical English Bulldog. Which, from the picture you posted, looks generally true. My husbands bulldogs' nose was literally mashed into her face and she constantly panted. All the time. ALL.THE.TIME.

Well we've been in the 90s for a week and probably will be for another week. So a couple of friends and I decided that we ride at Sunrise! Well, not really but early enough. ;) They will be here in an hour and I am going to ride this big boy. Yesterday I gave him a nice bath with warm water from the garage. Not just hosing him down. An actual bath with soap and water. :D Had him standing in front of the fan in the barn while I got him all dried off and got his mane and tail spiffy. Even put clear coat on his hooves. I was having fun! It's 69° right now so it should be good for a while.

The ducklings are six days old and we brought them outside for the first time today. AJ is fascinated by them. He saw ducklings two years ago when he was an itty bitty puppy. We didn't have any last year. We keep them until they grow feathers and can stay outside on their own, and are then returned to the farm.
