Pockets?

Yes I believe they are. Ripley had some too and they weren't leaning inwards yet so I was having a hard time finding any visuals on early pockets. Bumpers are working great because I'm pretty sure her ear would be ripped off her head if I pulled any tighter, so it wasn't for lack of pulling. I just found her ears weren't touching the backer rod there to get pushed out. Part of the problem (and Jan will attest to this) are her ear canals are so tiny, I couldn't get larger posts to stay in so we went to 3/8th. She's almost ready to move up in size but not quite so I did full length bumpers and they've been working great to give her ear something to mold to as the ear leather is bigger now but still have a smaller end to fit deep into her tiny ears lol.

Here's a good visual I found

Here's what I'm trying. Sorry for the blurry second image, but most of the tape you can see is sticky side out.View attachment 110967 View attachment 110968
Yep, just like that! A little tricky to find out the exact spot they need to go so make sure to keep your posts for next time lol. See Robins ears are definitely bigger than Ripley's. There's no way I could get that size backer rod with the cotton ball added on the end. I'm envious!

It's 1/2" backer rod and only 1/2 of a cotton ball, but I see what you are saying. Robin's ears are definitely bigger. I'm blessed with an eye for measurements so not too worried about placement. We'll see how the bumpers are working on Tuesday :)

To me it only looks like a pocket in the right ear but the bumpers sure can't hurt in both.

Boy, I guess... I struggle to get 1/2" in but I think by the next posting it will be a little easier.
