WOW!!! LOVE THAT GIFT!!!! He will be thrilled....
I am a wreck inside, every time they have to go in for spay/neuter. Then I spend the day just thinking; "they do this many times a day, all is well" trying to trick myself into believing nothing will go wrong. Stay positive, and tomorrow night will be here before you know it, and you will have already gotten the call that she is just fine and wanting to eat! THose shirts for dogs work wonders....I bought a 'suiticle' years ago for Glory, because she is the same; picker/licker...and she didn't touch her incision, or lick at the shirt. One more thing I do - take photos of the incision each day, cause I am a helicopter mom, to make sure there IS improvement

We will be thinking of you! We know these things go well, but that doesn't stop us from worrying like crazy until we get the call from the vet. time away form them doesn't help either, when they are usually our shadow and our heart. We will be waiting to read that you got the "everything went well" call!

Thinking of you as you take a presumably hungry and confused about why no breakfast Pepper in for her spay. You guys will do fine, me and my pack are sure of it.

Thank you, but today she woke up with loose stools and recently vomited. I heard her making noises in the night and checked on her didn’t see anything in her crate.

So here we go again…

She’s been doing really well so of course this happens now.

Update: canceled today. They have next appointment in October , but she goes into heat then said they’ll check with vets when they get in if any way we can get in sooner.

I’m beginning to feel like this isn’t meant to be having her spayed. What are the chances this happens the day of?!

They did due to her loose stools and puking this am.

They have next appointment in October , but she goes into heat then said they’ll check with vets when they get in if any way we can get in sooner.

Disappointing for sure when you ready to do it. And timing it with the heat is always a problem. Hopefully you can get it rescheduled sooner. Was there anything different she ate that would bring on the loose stools again? She's been doing fairly well in that department, hasn't she?

You were upset and maybe she felt that.

Now that it's canceled, she feels that too!

It might sound odd but sometimes I wonder if there's an ounce of Truth in something like this.

Very disappointing. I was clearly a wreck, but was ready to get to it today. We got up early and were about to head out until…

She did roll in some poop on our hike yesterday and nibbled it as well. I got her as she was doing it. Literally had poop all over her face

I was thinking that as well, if she was feeding off of my emotions. My husband said it too, said you were so upset and now I know you are relieved. I am and I am not though.

Didn’t want to jinx it , had an appt this am for spay. Pepper has been fine stomach wise for past 2 days. I had her on a bland diet and she didn’t go for 1 day and then day 2, normal
Bms. Well, last night wakes me with loose stool and again this am loose stool along with straining. Diet had been her normal foods and hasn’t been off leash so I can make sure she’s not eating stuff.

I am so so so tired of dealing with these issues. I was ready for her spay and of course it won’t be happening AGAIN.

Taking a stool sample in this morning, but with our past I assume it’s fine. Getting frustrated with this happening as she was doing so well for months.

I feel for you, I really do. Katyusha had loose stools this morning too, not sure why. I am not planning to stool sample her unless it's more than a one-off.

I hope you can get a spay appointment that doesn't get horsed up from one end or the other.
