Neutering Nerves

@ABCDogs I noted that you addressed @Sunje

But for ref I'll share my one and only experience with AirBnB here in Socal that wanted a $450 pet deposit, was they agreed to nego down when I asked (more deets on how by PM)

and then it took a week and a half confirming as they went back and forth with it appeared two layers of mgmt "on the team" to confirm, inc a correction again by me on checkin day.

The money was important of course but the principle was more- inept, incompetent front end made me nervous about back end on money, privacy.

I decided then cheaper and easier as proven to stay at Marriott on points. Some franchises may differ. I read elsewhere? That one national hotel chain is dog friendly so that may come in handy in a pinch if AirBnB is turning out to be a PITA.

"you can't be a responsible pet owner without spaying or neutering your dog" in our respective areas.
Interesting since I've never been asked if my dog/s are intact or not. Of course most of the hotels I go to are for dogs shows so a lot of the dogs are going to be intact. Some of them say the weight limit is 50# but they never actually see the dog, nor do they care so I've even seen Mastiffs in the rooms.

That is just laughable, Norway banned spay and neutering and they don't have an overpopulation/stray problem. It's not a dog problem, it's a people problem. Responsible dog owners don't let their dogs roam free. The US is full of irresponsible retards that don't know how to care for/train animals or just don't care. The fact that the US still has an overpopulation of strays is indicative that the spay and neuter crusade that's been going on for decades here just can't fix stupid and will never address the real issue.

And for legal purposes, your sign should just state "Dog on Premises"

Same here, I don't have any experience with Airbnb, but hotels have never asked me about breed, weight, or the status of their gonads. We've either camped with our dogs or stayed in hotels with them. I guess it's just one more reason to avoid Airbnb for me. 😄
