So, guessing further...
#4...Swedish Valhunds have six toes...1/6th of 100% is 16%? So maybe add only 16% to go from 4 to 5 toes...?
(Okay I am being silly on the genetics...)

But...#5 let's see...labs have webs...
big square nose, wide face?
Has to be a lab mix.
All the rescues say "lab mix"!

I saw a poodle who came to our schutzhund club. I think this dog had his Sch-2, had fantastic working drive, excellent bitework. They really can be a good all-around breed.

There is a Spoo owner on the other forum, very knowledgeable-show mostly but I'm intrigued about the hunting side.

I also like the looks and intimidation factor of a black Spoo with a close cut all over...wannabe "curly coat dobe!"

I agree, great all around family functional dog properly trained to a job. They are one of the "Fab Four" in corporate Service Dog world.

What I dont understand is why they dock only 1/3 of the tail end?

Okay, well I was going to say definitely malamute with that head, possibly chow--both breeds have a very definite stop on the face. Curled-over tail--also both chow and malamute. The Norwegian Lundehund is the only one I know of that has extra toes (not just dewclaws), and that would smallify the malamute part. Although lundehunds have a curly tail too. And lab, like BG says above, w/ the webbed toes, plus there seems to be lab in every mutt out there.

It could be to leave enough tail to grab hold of. I think that's done a lot w/ the terriers, in order to have something to grab hold of to pull them out of a burrow.

Oops you're right @Sunje I got the Valhund and Lundehund mixed up. Being a squarehead skandy mutt I should know better.

Already have. Puppy was given to a homeless veteran who then gave it to us because, well, he was homeless, intentionally, living his life in the forest. We did the DNA breed testing on him when he was a pup, think it was a Wisdom.

No Valhund, no Lab.

The eyes just look doberman to me. I know you will eventually fill us in, but...no matter what, he sure is a handsome dog! Has such an intelligent look to him, and a kind eye.

Oh! I want to guess heeler too. Face, eye, expression and stop, and muzzle length all scream heeler/Aussie cattle dog to me.

Just looked at some photos--same heavy neck, general build, just not the curly tail.

Yes, there is Akita, don't know if they have rear dewclaws, but they do have webbed feet...and funny you should pick out the eyes...yes, he does have Doberman in there too.

So far, in order of percentage
Alaskan Malamute
German Shepherd Dog
Rottweiler
Doberman Pinscher
Akita

There are 3 more, and the last one was listed as 1%, and not something you're ever going to guess, so the 1% is

St. Bernard 😆 (maybe they used them to make the giant Malamute, idk)

That leaves just two. One is a terrier and one is another Spitz breed from the working group.

Thank you, he is a good looking dog, very intelligent, very high prey drive and killer of furry vermin but great guardian of the chickens. A very good boy, mostly. Does however have separation anxiety and screams like a wounded cow when left alone.
 
I've been out for several days, trying to catch up now. When I first saw the dogs photo my first thought Aus Kelpie in the mix, but now to the end of the thread I don't think that belongs to terrier or Spitz group. but the physical traits are also clearly seen represented by all the ones so far listed. I know Rotties can have back dew claw, so with color pattern and hair coat I had GSD and Rottie in the mix. What a fabulous dog no matter. Love the guessing game!

Samoyed and Amstaff. And that wraps it up. A genuine mutt that is intelligent and amiable, eager to please, was easy to train, very lovey dovey affectionate and needy and yet independent, likes to be in his own space once you stop giving attention.
