Issues with beef cheek rolls....

I have been using what we all have found to be a great addition for chew time....just received a new bag, and they are just flat rolled, and not knotted as my previous bag...and the label has changed. Typically, I have experienced when they change the label on something; the ingredients have changed. Everything looks the same on the ingredients; but not the same! Falcon had the last knotted one I had left, and Glory got the new roll....she consumed it within 10 minutes, and it was in crumbs all over. Meanwhile, Falcon hadn't even put much of a dent in his. I am sooooooo disappointed. I am going to send these photos to Bully Bunches, and return the rest of them. AND, Glory had diarreha this morning....which she never gets. (All over the bedroom while we were at church). At first I couldn't think what was different about yesterday; then remembered the beef cheek. Anyone else get the new version that is no longer knotted? It seems that version was rolled tighter, or something, because it takes them typically longer to get through them.

Well this is good to know since I was thinking about ordering more with the next bull stick order. I still have part of a package and they look like the top photos you showed but Olive had hers gone in no time. I don't think either one got sick from them, unless it was out in the yard where I didn't see it. There were also lots of bits and pieces all over the carpet.

Flint has been getting tummy issues with their bully sticks too, where before there were none. Flint doesn't care for cheek rolls anymore sadly. He's too lazy to put in the effort to chew them. I have no input on the cheek rolls.

I'm sorry, I just caught up on your thread. I think that's disappointing to say the least! I hate when things change or get worse after it was such a great product, I don't care what it is! It's maddening. I definitely will not be buying them again. The ones I have left are obviously the older stock. I'm not taking a chance. Let's hope that Bully Bunches does not succumb and cheapen their products for the Love of Money. Dang I'll be very disappointed! Definitely speak up and send your pictures! Things only change when people refuse to put money in their pocket!

Bully Bunches was more than happy to deal with my complaints, did not answer my question if they were manufactured somewhere else, but did offer me my money back. At first they wanted to give me a 'credit' towards another product, and I could keep them....told them I wouldn't even GIVE those away to anyone. So they issued a return slip, and I sent them back. I am counting on them crediting back my card....I'll let ya know if they don't. Just so disappointed because those original ones held up so well.
After some research, I found these: 'Sitka' beef cheek rolls...they are only 5-6" but hold up under these doberman teeth, and do not cause any type of belly issues. Not sure why the one photo won't load upright? But you get the picture - And it has a doberman picture on the Chewmeter page :) Beef Cheek Roll - 5-6 Inch - Sitka Farms

That just started for me too. I don't understand why. Never had that problem before.

Thanks for posting that! That's good to know!

I order their bully sticks regularly and nothing has changed there. Olive is still chewing on one as we speak.

I do too! My cabinet is full of Bully Sticks Etc from them. They're the only ones I buy from online. Otherwise I buy them from my doggy boutique here in town. But seeing that this one product has changed I'm just saying, I hope that they all don't change.

And here's an interesting tidbit of information on bully sticks. I usually buy the 6-inch in quantity...sometimes 40! I buy a lot at one time when on sale. 😁 I hadn't bought the 12-in sticks for a while. But I think they were on sale once and I bought a package.

Well, I gave Annie one a couple of days ago. The first time in a long time that's she's had the 12-in. Not that that should make any difference at all from the 6-inch because they're all the same, right? But after eating it? She threw up a little. 😳 Not a lot. But it was right after I read @StateOfMine and his dog throwing up. So I was like what the??...really?! I mean, I laugh because it's just so ironic. But I thought I would just ignore that for a moment and just have a wait and see attitude. 🤷‍♀️

Now, she just had a 6-inch one today and had no problem with it. But isn't that weird? After just reading about that!? 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Thanks for sharing this! I was just thinking of ordering more but definitely won’t now. This is disappointing!

I decided to order some 10 - 12" large collagen sticks with my last order after reading this thread about the cheek rolls. The reviews are good and most people say they last longer than the bull sticks. They had a sale for buy 2, get 1 free so I hope they work out okay.

Did you get them yet? We need a review!;)

Oh yeah, I forgot. They had their first ones on Saturday and it lasted 30 minutes for Olive and 45 minutes for Elroy, so less time than a bully stick. They are a bit cheaper and they love them so I guess it depends on how long you want them to last.

It's a misleading link description, I believe. If you open it, they are described as Beef Cheeks and they do not have the smell lol

On their site they do have "Bully Sticks" (which aren't explicitly described as pizzle) and "Super Bull Sticks" which are the beef cheeks, as I understand it!

Do these Bully chews help with teeth cleaning, the way (for example) MIlk-Bone dog biscuits are supposed to help with same (i.e. help reduce/eliminate tartar, etc.)?

I don't think I've ever bought from them before but when I went to order some, they had all my information! Including my card! How does that work? LOL is it possible that I have bought from them before or some affiliate or something? That always freaks me out LOL

Who is the parent company and had you done business with them previously? I never check the "Save my card for future purchases" option, except for Amazon, maybe. I always prefer to put it in each time.
