Introducing Clancy

Awe........warms my heart. Clancy says I found my person!
For those of you who haven't had many rescues there is a moment that the dog says I found my home. And it's a game changing moment that human and dog feel.. Sometimes it involves a look, a nudge or just a sigh of relief but it's a bond sealing moment and my all time favorite.

Clancy has overcome a lot of anxiety while camping. He is happy and at home with bush and river camping but gets really uncomfortable with town stops. It has taken a week for him to warm to my friends hubby as we continue the camping experience. It is obvious that he has had bad experiences with males and had a real panic when a man with crutches came too close. It might be something that he never fully recovers from, and that's ok with me.

I gave him a full Dremel today. He went to sleep after a while! He also had himself another bath after rolling in something unmentionable, which he didn't like at all.

IMHO, with time he may over come it or gain enough confidence to learn to live with it better. The more experiences he has with his adventures with you, the more confident he will become. He's young, that gives him an advantage to overcoming a lot.
