How long should I be posting ears?

My dobie is 5 months old and i‘m getting mixed responses on how long we need to post. Any advice?

I personally don't start testing ears until they are 7-8 mo. There really is no time frame.

If you mean how long between postings, at 5 mo, 3-5 days. If they get wet, change them immediately. If they smell funky/foul, unpost and thorough inspect before moving on.

It needs to be at least through teething, which is approximately 6 months, but many pups take much longer, depending on the crop and ear leather.

As @JanS said. Also being consistent is with reposting and not leaving the ears down for too long between postings. We posted for 5days, removed posts, cleaned ears making sure there are no sore spots, dried ears and reposted within 1hr.
Also posting time will vary on how long a Crop is.
When you think your done repost for 2 more weeks.
