gelatin for ears???

yes, when Tango was a pup My breeder told me to feed Knox gelatin.

They are just hanging, she was cropped tuesday. I will remove the stitches in 10-12 days. I have grew up on a farm and we vetted our animals. I also worked for a vet, so the medical aspect does not scare me ......just the whole posting deal is making me a nervous wreck. I always feel like I am doing something wrong.
don't worry, just let the ears like the are, a lot of vet don't put a cup on or tape the ears over the head, they just let them hang, important is the time after the stiches got out and the ears are complete healed, then start posting and keep up the posting, but for now,just leave them alone, just make sure, she don't scratch them 
We gave Della the Knox Gelatin while we were posting and I'm not sure if it helped or not, but we never had a problem with them even sagging once, so it certainly can't hurt.
I know the posting thing is a bit daunting if it's your first time, but once you get the hang of it, it really is pretty easy.

Everyone has there own technique. Here is what worked for me-
Use tampons, careful with the scabs, knox on the food helps and when you think you are sure they are done- they aren't, keep going. Also I was careful with the tape on the hair on the ears, I would try to put the non sticky side on the ear tuft. You want the ear tuft
, if you arent careful and you rip out the hair too much it wont look right (again my opinion) Also , if something isnt working for you try another. There are a million ways to do it but persistence matters most. Good luck!

As burlysoldier said, be careful about picking at those scabs. The best idea is to leave the ear edge alone--don't pick the scabs off--they'll fall off when they are ready. I've seen puppies end up with scalloped ear edges because scabs were pulled off before they were ready to fall of--made the ear edge bleed again and the tissues has to start the healing process all over.
When you start posting just remember if there are still some raw spots or scabby spots tape around those and not over them.
But let them heal until the sutures are removed--and then if the ear edge isn't pretty completely healed don't start posting. A few more days down won't make any difference except you'll have more trouble trying to not tape over the unhealed spots.
