Fight, Flight, or -

Fight, flight, wait and see what happens, or just submit. Lots of possibilities for sure!

I took the Dober girls outside for a quick pee break at work today and they got run up on / charged at by the neighbors dog from across the street. :)

Going to blame it on Dystopia because she barked at it one time real good when she noticed it over there (like she always does whenever she sees it). :)

Feel bad for the dogs owner as she looked pretty freaked out by the whole thing. One minute she was sitting on her front porch relaxing with her dog right there close to her and then next thing she knew her dog was bolting across the street towards a pair of big ole Dobermans!

(Have talked to that lady several times over the years and she is good people. :) Also seems to be really good about taking care of her animals as that was the first time I have ever seen her dog not be on a leash or tether of some kind. Guessing she was 'testing' the dog to see how well it knew its boundaries??)

Got to give her dog credit too! For a relatively small (35 to 40ish lbs) mixed breed female - That dog had some balls to run up on the Dober girls like it did! :)

It shot across the street and got pretty much right up in Dystopias face (looking up at her face but still!) Neither of my girls seemed impressed or upset about the sudden 'visitor' at all and were pretty much just checking her out and looking at her. (I did notice Patience move around behind her but nothing came of it)

Just before the lady made it across the street where we were at to collect her dog it had laid down and rolled over on it back - 4 paws up! Dober girls got to give it a good sniffing! LOL! :)

Dogs owner lady looked a tiny bit angry by the time she got close enough to see her expression. Guessing the running out in the street thing? (yeah, If mine did that I would be angry as well so can't blame her if that is what it was - Not a very busy street but cars can be really dangerous when things run out in front of them!)

I used my sing songie voice and tried to calm her down! 'It's ok, Nobody is fighting here. They just want to sniff each others butts for a minute'. :)

My girls chose the 'wait and see what happens' option today when they got charged at. Her dog chose the 'just submit' path once it found itself between them. :)

Older picture but shows about where the girls were at today and how the street divides a line of commercial property on one side of it and residential on the other.

Girl in the front (closer to me in picture) is Dystopia. :)

50% of the time she is my favorite dog. :)
