Ear posting/testing and crate training regression

Interesting assertions:
1.All canines are binary/non-emotional creatures
2. That are best served by trainers...on the spectrum?

Did I get that right?

PS: this may be OT on OP question on ear posting...
Mods if there is enough interest, in a fascinating thing; should it be introduced in its own separate topic?

Sorry can’t help it but derailing this thread. Just have to say that video of Spock is fricking awesome. I have distinct memories of watching old school Star Trek every evening at 6:30. Brings back memories.

Fascinating.

Yeah pretty much. Think of how long the conversation is trying to explain to the average dog owner how a dog thinks and learns. It generally takes the owner bringing up 13 different scenarios and situations, then you having to fully explain step by step what and why the dog does what it does. Then….. you have to describe a situation that you are going to put their dog in, predicting beforehand how their dog is going to react and what the dog will do. Once the dog proves your seemingly “dog whisperer” abilities to its owner. You then might have a chance at the average dog owner truly understanding how a dog thinks.

Normal human minds not to mention women’s lol are very very dynamic compared to canines.

She (to date) has been the most difficult and challenging dog my trainer has had.
What kind of a trainer was this? Did they have working breed experience? Dobermans are absolutely a handful. Curious if your other Dobes were American and now you have a Euro? The Euros are definitely crazy like a fox 🤣
she will sleep on the living room carpet all night and not make a peep.
Perhaps she wants the freedom to patrol and to do her job as protector. I understand re the cats why you want to contain her though.
A couple of nights the vocalizing (she has very unusual and grating vocalizing)
The noises these Dobes make 🤣 I still wonder how our neighbors never reported a torture chamber operating out of our house.
Walking back in the room (no one is in this room) to comfort does NOT work, only makes her more frantic.
Comforting is the wrong reaction. I bet this is why the vocalizing has continued. By reacting you are in fact reinforcing the behavior. Comfort doesn’t work for dogs the way it works for humans.
She has had plenty of exercise and she IS tired.
What is the exercise program? Maybe something is missing from it.

You mentioned supplementing calcium. The vit c can work for ears but I would stop the calcium. Normally I would never quote Purina but I wanted to leave you with something to follow up on.
